The novel has a good and complex story, the drama is well scripted and although some changes, it is well done. In this story, the Divine clan/immortal/God in this story is the bad guy….if you haven’t noticed till ep25. It’s like the old Greek mythology - Immortals, who are nassistic and self centred, and lacks compassion.

I like how the script here re-wrote Gao QiuMing’s character arc.

enjoyable. JCY has his first slap from MuDan. His aunty is another strong woman character.;)

This is slightly complicated in the book and long story, I wonder they may simplify here. But in summary: Zhao Ming is chosen one from the Divine clan who serves the God. The god will create disaster so human, spiritual and demons will continue to worship and fear the Gods. Zhao Ming after cultivating Dun Zhu, became more powerful which the God fear him and order Book of Destiny to cast him into the Dark realm (there is a lot more to this on how it happened).

FL is Dun Zhu, cultivated to human form by Zhao Ming. She and SML (destiny book) are artifacts that maintain a balance to the world and three realms.

They are the most liberated three demons🤣.

Felt that there will be a twist in NXY’s action, let’s see.

Chinese gods are like the Greek gods, selfish and for their own fun, see mortal struggles and suffer. Terrible divine being, no wonder the mortal have to rebel and dark realm have to fight back.

Ep 24, what an exciting ep. I am glad in the redemption arc for Sang Qi, always believe he is kind at heart. Our dark lord returns. This story is filled with so many sad stories for couples. And the common themes of living in so many years of lie and seeking wrongful revenge, poor Ah Bao’s dad is another lost soul. One can say these are common tropes for XianXia, however this production done a great job in story telling and direction… now we get to see Zhao Ming’s arc.
