I think you are right, I thought ML also remembers, but watching ep 3, it feels like he forgotten but seems to have some intuitive connection to FL. And I agreed the monk is indeed handsome😍.
I just started ep 1, I must say it’s quite good. Action scene, acting, pacing and cinematography are quite well done. So it’s a transmigration story, I can’t recall how many have I watched with leads given a second chance to restart their lives. But I love this so far.

Sharing my thoughts on this. This is a common and natural interpretation about FL when one first watched this. But if you followed both leads character, you will realised that, FL’s personality is as such strong-will and single-track mind, so when she see through ML’s act and starts to believe in him, she will support him all the way, which is also her ultimate strength on him - that’s why she is the Princess. She is not weak but more like she has conviction. And as for ML’s because of his past losses and trauma, he was very afraid to show attachment and emotions to any relationship. But he has always since the beginning has the softer side for FL and in his own ways, he has always try to protect her. It’s never a one sided love.;) LiXun is a complex character.
