I also felt that way, how would the bandits know they were back and immediately can launch an attack. Someone must be a double agent. I suspect the YZJ’s ‘so call brother’ may be involved.

I feel the so call ‘brother’ he stayed with is part of the bandit group, so that will explain why she can be kidnapped so easily. Purely my speculation.

Ep 16/17, YZJ told DW that he will depend on her to provide for him in future, and he repeatedly said it three times😅. So much sweetness building, I fear that it’s preparing for the angst soon.

Ep 20, the moral of the story is that Bai Jui’s father should tell him the truth about his mom so he won’t be used. And everybody forgives Bai Jiu so easily because he is a kid and human…his harm to ZY is all forgotten. But if this is reverse, I believe nobody will forgive the demon.

She did explain later, she doesn’t just think demon is cruel, she means in exterior demons appeared cruel in their action but human can be worst as they hide their intention and their cruelty. She is pretty clear in her view, IMO.

My best guess and based on some trailers will be YZJ’s plan backfire, causing their group being attack by their enemies and FL will lose her love one (probably Shrimpy) in the mess and he also abandoned her as he has to be alive to continue his revenge plot. So that will be a major betrayal as she so far won’t leave him however he would.

Because that’s how he learnt and survived too.

Ep 15, hearing the suffering YZJ gone through when he was young, it’s so surprising that he had survived this far. That explained why he and FL is so strongly connected. They have very similar traumatic childhood experience.
