In general, it’s also shown so far that FL’s worldviews and values are quite different from SML but instead she is much more alike and aligned with ML. Hence she is able to understand and empathize with ML, and also why she fell for ML and not SML. I don’t think she will ever fell for SML even if ML is not in the picture.

The story is about a scholar falling for a mermaid and felt they connected but because mermaid cannot live on land and scholar can’t live in sea, he is trying hard to find medicine to help mermaid live on land. Then FL replied why not the other way round. Then SML replied that he is willing to find that medicine to live in the sea with mermaid. FL just responded in reality there is no such miracle drug. IMO as shown so far in latest ep., FL is always clear that SML and herself are from two different worlds. And when SML told her the story, trying to hint to her that he is trying to reach to her or even willing to change to be with her, she just responded that it’s impossible in reality.

Can’t help to admire Zhao Yuan Zhou’s expressive eyes and the director definitely kept showing us his close up shot🤩.

Demon’s emotion is different from human? Is like Li Lun’s turned from best friend to hate very quickly and his pettiness leads to his death.

The mermaid and scholar’s story shows great clarity between FL and SML’s point of view. FL definitely has good clarity of the reality.

Li Lun’s motive to hate ZYZ is really pathetic…the repetition on “he is your enemy…” and why BaiZe Goddess couldn’t tell him the reason to trap him was to keep him alive. And quite tired of human going on and on about the discussion on whether ZYZ is good or bad.
