This is so true. And I saw two dramas with similar ending, FL dies and we get to see ML grew old, miserable, lonely and died. Is that even necessary?😓

Despite all the unhappiness by many commenters about the sad ending. I do feel based on this story, it is fitting however it is also unnecessary. This is the second drama in this month where I see FL died and ML ended being lonely and grew old and died. Why does the story have to end with such melancholic tone, which is also unnecessary, I would wish the ending be a little more positive and not just to see ML fulfilled his responsibility and grow old alone to wait for death. WHY!!! So sad, just makes the whole story meaningless, wish it would maybe give us a OE instead. From FL’s finding out ML was the person who poison her and her marriage arrangement to XiYan was really draggy and time wasting that didn’t serve much impact on their story. Taking that away, FL will still forgive ML, XiYan’s General will still attack and start war. Then the old Emperor’s marriage to young wife was distasteful to me. It not about the acting, it’s just that their chemistry didn’t fit.But overall the saving Grace was the casts all acted well in their roles, especially Liu Xue Yi and Wu Jin Yan, their moments were very natural and sweet.

My long rant, and so ends this drama.

I can’t hold back and binge watched all ep. My after thoughts…

Yup, and we know who the father is.

So what we know by the set up, there are humans, goddess, demon and half demon. And in latest ep., we know there is a natural force that governs a balance of the world. Demons are from animals or natural elements (rocks, mountains) and with years of practice became human form.

This show has so many beautiful people🤩😍.

Ep 26, Yue Qin kept saying he will protect FL, but yet she is always aid by ML in private…hmmm.

So there are good demons and evil demons, and some grey demons like Zhao Yuan Zhou that constantly lie to protect others. Then we have ‘black and white’ type of humans but only Wen Xiao is the human that can tell good from bad demons.
