It shown as flashback to the scene where FL went to the party to look for her Ex, and saw that he was seemingly kissing someone, she went straight up to confront him only to realise he was helping someone put/find contact lens (I laughed at that scene, is like why would you need to help someone put contact lens???). The. next scene they have an argument where Ex said he had enough of FL’s depressed mood. So yeah she knew he didn’t cheat and no misunderstanding, it’s mutual that they broke up.

Both, as they both has different story arc to learn from.

The interview with the casts said it’s HE, so I believe nobody dies in the end.

It’s natural human behaviour to deny and fear the unknown. Especially cancer survivors tend to struggle to normalize and yet having to constantly feel uncertain and also burden by dealing with the others’ emotions, which so often resulted in them putting a false front to cope; and not willing to show their vulnerablily, fearing others will pity them.

Finally watched ep 9, what FL gone through is very real. She is always know to be strong and positive and forces herself to never be vulnerable. Then with her condition and treatment, it often can affects one’s emotion no matter how strong she is. Her caregiver (Ex-fiancé) suffers burn-out too. So she starts to make decision for her well being but it’s not easy as she is still not good at sharing her pain with others, still hiding from her family and besties. Hope she realizes soon how important to share when you care. I feel strongly for her and Jung So Min done a good job showing this character.😍
The ending scene of this ep, FL’s secret revealed on her condition was so emotional but a much needed one for FL.😭
The second couple is a breath of fresh air in all these seriousness.

I am okay and prepared for SE, but just hope their story arc are properly explained till the end. Really hate rush ending, seeing so often in c drama of late.

He is so gentle and kind here. He seems to like FL, but we know their ship won’t sail here.

This is quite enjoyable to watch so far and the leads done well portraying their roles. It shown wits between them. The Emperor seems to be the common enemy which will reunite them as based on synopsis. Look forward to their further interaction. Love the trio tension, love Li Landi!

Pei Yan’s mansion is so easily infiltrated, and if he knew FL is the bait, yet he didn’t send guards to protect FL, it’s either Wei Zhao is so skilled in martial arts that he can slip in and out without being noticed or Pei Yan is quite careless.🤣😅

Both MLs have their own plans of revenge and politics. FL is at the wrong place and the wrong time, she should be released back to the mountain and be carefree life. I didn’t read the novel, but I am guessing that FL may also have a hidden background.

Yup, he is also a dark character and carries weight of his family’s revenge, so not any better.

Interesting to see Ren Jia Lun being the grey and merciless character.
