In the original novel Yang Guo is not even Mu Nianci's son. He is the son of someone YK raped. I believe in subsequent…
I feel that Jin Yong always want to express depth in his characters, on the theme that no one is perfect, good guys are weird and bad guys can be empathize. Yang Guo has severe need for motherly love, and his obsession with “GuGu” is just weird.

Ah…I guess Jin Yong reflected about YK’s character and decided to give him a little more decency in character and made him loyal to love😅. Interesting…
Copout deaths and lackluster script; I feel bad for the actors. I guess the other compilations are going to be…
I have been very very disappointed in a couple of re-makes in film industry of late, from Star Wars to Lord of the Rings and now this, wondering what’s happening to good script writers out there.
#1 Seems like this drama is different from the Felix- Barbara one. Did Yang Kang die like that in the old series?#2…
Something is just not very convincing about this version YK and WanGYan Honglie. The story events are true to original but the execution and characters’ expression are just off.

I agreed with you on the description about Guo Jing, he is definitely not dumb, he is just very naive and simple minded, he doesn’t assume the worst of people and he is very very loyal to Huang Rong. He wouldn’t be able to master all the skills if he is dumb. I personally want to credit his mother who really is a great lady, she has good clarity and knew she should never be a burden to her son and took the courage to end her own life.

But I like the Genghis Khan here, he has a majestic feel and his relationship with GJ is nicely done.
