The Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre is the third part of Condor trilogy. The first two parts are The Legend of Condor Heroes (which is this whole drama-60ep), and then The Return of the Condor Heroes. So this series only focus on part 1. I am not sure will the production team continue to make part 2 and 3 of the trilogy. Hahahha…think most of us have the same issue with HuGe as GuoJing, ‘so cringe’ is the description I would use too🤣.
Glad you are enjoying this version. As I said this has it’s good point in its own way, don’t let my opinion influence your watching fun. I will still watch till the end though;).

Personal opinion: if you don’t know the original story and didn’t see the other version. This can be quite a good Wu Xia, plot is clear, storyline is direct and each character’s motivation and path is fairly straightfoward.
But because I read the novel and seen some other version, this drama then feels rush, lacks the depth in characters’ development. In the past, I get to see the characters’ growth in more impactful way and villians were not presented in ‘black and white’ goals. It’s characters driven and not just plot driven. So honestly, there is nothing wrong with this version, it’s just I am watching just for nostalgic scenes and it did not really create much impact for me😅.

They will clear their misunderstandings at ep 11.

PWX meant to ask whether LR is happy that he confessed to her that he loves her and only regret is her, so he asked whether she is happy to hear him said that to her. Tranlsated language can lost its meaning.😅

Hahahha…that’s what I was focusing on too, wondering will the make up or their eye liner flow down on their faces😂. The costume must also feel very heavy with the water.

The rain confession is good. PWX is more aware and of his own feelings and decided to be honest and open about it. His confession clarifies their barriers and gave LR a chance to reflect and figure out her feelings for him too. If every couple can talk this way, there will be no misunderstanding, even there are differences, it will be resolved quickly.🥰

PWX knew LR had love him in the past, but he also not sure how she felt about SRQ. So the second arc, he really wants her to be happy, hence he push her to SRQ, so she can decide how she feels about him. Hence PWX said in the rain, he wasn’t sure about her feelings now.

Recently there have been progressive dropped of a couple of new dramas, apart from this, there is FYH, and coming next week LYF2…I am reminding myself to pace myself too😅. But this drama is a fun watch so far. Bickering old couples in young body, reconciling their love and became best of friends again fighting the underneath political struggles. This CP to my surprise is very compatible;) Enjoy!

IMO, when I read the novel, I felt that XL has the ability to disguise himself well as FFB, hence only XY spending time with him found out who he was. So TSJ may see through the disguise with his powers but couldn’t be sure. But for drama adaptation, and easy for viewers to relate, they didn’t change much of the appearance for XL and FFB. TJC did so well in portraying the two different personalities😍.
