I feel that Jin Yong always want to express depth in his characters, on the theme that no one is perfect, good guys are weird and bad guys can be empathize.
Yang Guo has severe need for motherly love, and his obsession with “GuGu” is just weird.

Ah…I guess Jin Yong reflected about YK’s character and decided to give him a little more decency in character and made him loyal to love😅. Interesting…

I have been very very disappointed in a couple of re-makes in film industry of late, from Star Wars to Lord of the Rings and now this, wondering what’s happening to good script writers out there.

The YK here is just a disappointment for me.
But I like the Genghis Khan here, he has a majestic feel and his relationship with GJ is nicely done.

Something is just not very convincing about this version YK and WanGYan Honglie. The story events are true to original but the execution and characters’ expression are just off.

I am prepared, I tell myself to embrace the sadness as at least we audience knew the truth🥰.
