I thought I was the only one that felt the last 10 episodes were a drag, it really started strong esp for Duke Su’s character, thought I would be seeing more darker side of him. I have conflicted feelings for Shen Yu Rong, one wrong move and everything just collapsed for him. Wanning and Ji ShuRan were quite similar arc as villian in different forms, both strong self survivor instinct but yet made others suffered. This drama as you said has good elements, but just don’t watch with too much logic;)

In my opinion, he felt no one is suitable for his daughter, so even he set the game rules, it was so strict that he didn’t expect either one can win, and to his surprise, GJ 💪🏻. But as PeachBlossom explained which I also agreed that, Huang Yao Shi has been stuck on the island for too long and don’t really know Ouyang Ke’s character, so compared to GJ, he may think that Ouyang Ke is more compatible. HYS’s moral compass is quite weird, so he has his own way to judge right and wrong hence he didn’t quite listen to his daughter.😓
