Ah, I see YZ is the producer. So the new team here are trying creative shots with their camera, close up and more close up. I noticed with almost majority of the emotional scenes, there will be face close up shot😅.

Always love to read your review, always well written and succinct. I gave it a 9/10 too. Well said on how S1 is plot driven and S2 is character driven. We get of leaner and mature FX. I am going to say, I can never see anyone else playing FX and the Emperor’s role, it has to be ZRY and CDM. Hopefully S3 won’t be a long wait and a nice wrapped up;)

Ep 11, Duke Su needs to buy himself a red hankie so he doesn’t need to give his hands for FL to bite on.

If you caught up with ep 9 and 11, quite a tell tale signs that he is already allowing her to use him make bets and allowed her to bite him but not bite herself. This man is in but big time denial🤣.

Agreed on this. I felt it’s like Li Buyi, love on first sight and with her wits, he is even more attracted to her.

Yup, similar vibe. But I observed that Ling Buyi has that intimidating feel, where Duke Su has the intimidating sexy charm😍. Shown in my biases. lol!

The director is seemingly fair, he filmed the beautiful atmosphere for FL and her sister’s GuZheng performance; but for FL, he made additional CGI to show her superiority in skills with music. Interesting creative effort.

This director wants to emphasize on every moment of the Duke, ‘demonic charming’🤣.

Think I mentioned earlier, just can’t helped but noticing how this director really likes close up face shot, ending of ep 11, again we ended with the step mom face🤦🏻‍♀️.

Yeah, feels odd that she gets to do what she wants, even if she has been a hostage Princess, I do not think she will have such power and authority to keep a scholar in her chamber without being noticed by others.

One of the interview with FL, Wu Jin Yan, she said FL will have a very happy ending. So I am going to take that as for now.;)

Interesting. So the drama re-scripted and want the viewers to empathize with her husband more, making the Princess more of the only villian in this plot on FL. I wonder why they change that?

My take is in two different explanation stays, ML said it with the two meanings in two different scenes. When he first confronted her identity, he uses CloudA’s definition. And on their second meeting, he uses Yue’s definition. He mainly wanted to stirred her emotions and wanting to let her know that he knew who she is.

A familiar revenge plot. But the cinematography, the acting and pacing of story are very well done here. The leads fit their roles perfectly and the chemistry is on fire. Highly recommended watch, I am at ep9, very entertaining, but be warn the intense stirred of emotions in first few ep.;) Enjoy! I tried Fox spirit, dropped after ep 1.😅
