IMO, 8 ep in, so far so good. If you like season 1, you will enjoy this. But interesting a lot of viewers were concern of the heavy comedy insert for this season. But to me, it’s a good balance. Enjoy!

Well, I wouldn’t quite think FX is an Harry Potter. The huge difference is FX is a human born with wisdom of many centuries and with his smart ally like Chen Ping Ping planting all the right seed for him, he is tenchnically a super genius human. But maybe this plot is not of your liking. Cheers.

There are some very serious themes being explored in this story. IMO, having the comedy to balance the plot makes it easier for viewers to follow through and not so heavy material. If you look at the theme so far, it’s intense, massacre of whole village, the unscrupulous brothel business of forcing girls into their workforce.

MSD is from the Manchuria race, it is one ethnicity. The Empress and King of that time is Manchuria descent.
