That’s definitely no fairness. In a way the prince raised in palace are proud product of the Emperor, so if they do lose to FX, a country boy, it also would mean shame on to him as a father, so he will side his palace son more, IMO. Fortunately FX has both FJ and CPP.

Yup, I read that part. YQM chose the best guy and also the worst guy to bear her DNA with…sigh. That’s why I thought deep down inside CPP’s heart, he is always waiting for an opportunity to kill the Emperor, but he has to fulfil YQM’s task first which is to bring up FX well.

Today, we have the emotional scene where MSD kneeling at the Emperor’ tomb about losing his faith, this scene by far was the most emotional scene for me in this drama, really make me sad.
Then it’s funny to see Liu Lin’s messy behaviour when eating pumpkin seeds frustrates the hell out of MSD. This man has OCD!;)

I didn’t read the full novel, only read bits and pieces of it, definitely haven’t got to end of S2. Know that the drama has re-written some characters and not sure where S2 will stop.

FX definitely didn’t see that move from Emperor.

You mean the three of them and FX’s mom? I think it never went sour, Emperor has always hold that scheming and self centered character, the other two always worked for him. But FX’s mom interference probably brought the other two to realise more of the Emperor’s character who is never fair. So after FX’s mom died, the three are hanging together but all cautious of the Emperor.
