Yeah, parenting dynamic with adult children tends to be a common trope used in dramas. Over reactive, over protective or toxic parents…etc. However I thought this drama FL’s mom is quite realistic, I knew of an Aunty with very similar personality and behaviour, however my this aunty doesn’t have much insight to grow😅.

In this drama, this mother married twice and both her husband died in accidents. She has to live through adversity of life hence she develops cynicism about life. And to my understanding women who have such encounter often commonly labeled as ‘jinx’, hence she tends to be a lot harsher on her children, in a way that’s how she feels that she is protecting them by giving them reality check. But watch on, she does grow and learnt to view life differently at the end. That’s just my take.;)

Well said. LiXian has a soothing calming voice and YuTong’s voice is so suitable for her character. It’s their voices that makes the character even more realistic and real.;)

So when does the story get more going, first 2 eps were semi-boring???
The focus is not on the romance but in the revenge plot…but the main leads have very good chemistry moments, they didn’t even truly confess their love.
