So mortal TTJ was married to YXW who tortured him to death, kneeling on ice and which then DG took over, so he will remember YXW/LSS. There’s a lot to unravel, so do watch on as it will be explained. I felt he was trying to figure out who is the rebel and who are involved. Yes, he can escape easily. Maybe he purposely want MX to feel indebted to him. Also agreed that the Teacher Shen seems highly suspicious or she has that suspicious vibe all the time.

@jamesdavid The biggest misunderstanding will be near the end from ep 27-29, lasted about two ep or so and will be resolved quickly. Now with all ep out, easier to watch at one go, not a much of a drag. Both FL and ML although have their immature moments but they resolved their issues maturely and learnt to communicate through it.

Yes totally, BFY is a great character portrayed well by WYW. Agreed, hope that her love with WJG will end well too.

Not really love triangle, the main couple are quite clearly in love with each other. But misunderstanding that pull them apart and as usual poor communication. Almost breakup but reconciled eventually. Happy ending, worth the watch if you are considering, IMO.

I do think it will build up more in later ep for BFY and WJG. There are 37 ep. So I can see now the story is focusing on letting the viewers understand the two sisters, then they will be split by war, and will have to figure out their journey and their love. I do wish the same as you that MX has a good ending with CWD and he gets to clear his name as a loyal subject and not a rebel. Lot more to anticipate, just that the ep release so slowly🤣

The original Japanese version has a sad ending. But this re-scripted has a better complete ending. The rating deserve higher score, as it’s really good romance, good chemistry, both CFY and ZY done a fantastic job making these characters believable.

Have to understand the context or you will miss the key plot twist and plot points.😅

It will be revealed near to the end that her sister was clearly in love with Qin Tian, and wanted ML’s brother to give her money and let her be with QT happily with the baby. She felt that if the father of her children let her go with QT and gave her money, then they won’t live in hardship. She has encountered being sent back to the orphanage because her adoptive parents have no money.

In an interview with Zhao Ying Bo (actor who acted as WJG) he said his character was initially clearly in love with MX, but over the course of situation that happened, he and BFY grew to love each other. So truly hope that MX has a good ending with CWD. She deserves a good man.

Indeed underwhelming…but at least it’s a good closure to the story. To me, it’s has it sweetness and it works.
