Hi! Yup, I decided to re-watch to savour this masterpiece. Following the transformation of TTJ can be painful but really fulfilling to see his growth at the end.🥰

I do noticed from the very beginning, it’s was always from TTJ’s POV, which is natural as the whole story was about changing TTJ/DG’s destiny. Although LSS has never expressed or confessed her love to TTJ, she has always been in love by her action and behaviour.
Complicated love, a lot is not what has been said but what is their choice and their action.
Due to its fast pacing and editing, a lot can be more obvious on a re-watched, the subtle set up.

Understand where you are coming from. Sadly this drama was being affected by the edits hence resulted in an ending that cause lots of dissatisfaction. However in an overall effort, story, acting, costume and effects. I do feel it deserve higher, but again that’s my opinion. We will all have our take on it.

It’s in my plan to watch. Gives me an Empress Wu Zhe Tian feel but she is given a second chance to live her life. Premise is interesting and I like ZLH in ‘Maiden’. However I wish they don’t release so soon, my heart cannot take another emotional rollercoaster 🤣

Agreed too! That’s the part I was angry with when I first finished it. I was thinking, “Girl, where is your sense of urgency, not the time to play cheeky…” lol! But then re-watching it, I accepted that all her love for him was written on her face, expressed well by BL.

Just noticed the rating dropped from 8.9 to 8.8??? Why???because of the ending? Shouldn’t it be based of the whole drama series? Shouldnt this deserve at least above 9?

Yes! Since Jing Emperor’s time, that has always been TTJ’s belief. Makes my heart ache for TTJ.
Just had wish he had a better ending here. Well here, they have him immortalized with an end of a God. But personally I would prefer he and LSS has the HE.

Agreed. IMO, it felt rush and didn’t give viewers much time to process. But I have to say the team probably have tried their best, having to follow new regulation and yet deliver a sincere piece of work. Tough job.

The emotions from LYX and BL were spot on. Re-watching it, I had to admit that LSS although she didn’t confess, her emotions showed her love for TTJ and TTJ understands. As many pointed out what’s important to him is the safety of the three realms and LSS. So he doesn’t need the world to like him or honor his deed. That’s the most lovable part of TTJ’s character, when he decided, he will see through it, and it’s true to who he is.
And this drama ends with LSS has to live with only TTJ’s memory, I doubt he can come back, but it’s fine as she definitely have regrets but also love.
There I can reconcile.
