For those who like to watch ancient chinese drama should know that it's quite normal for noble and royal family to be like this, even in the present, marriage of the rich and noble are not like us normal ppl, it's about business and power. Many ppl don't like LR but personally, I think she's not bad at all for a royal, when she cut tie with PWX, she told him straight away without any scheme to make use of his feeling, when she formed ally with him, she never do anything to him until the end when they got trick by SRQ, even PWX said it himself when meeting the assassin that she wouldn't do anything to him, she just want to scare him, this show how trustworthy she is. Also, everyone said PWX bend down to LR too much that she doesn't deserve it, for me, there's no 50/50 in couple life. And LR know how to care for PWX too, though only small daily matter, it's obvious enough.

So LR and SRQ had intimate relationship in novel? Well that doesn't sound pleasant but logic enough for me. She married PWX for 20 years but maybe only together for the first 2-3 years then breakup, unlike SRQ who was together with her for at least 10+ years. Emotionally, LR and PWX was like an ex to each other, they just couldn't divorce in reality because of factors' reason.
p.s: I have yet to watch ep 20-21 but rush to check preview first 😝
