I find it ridiculous how a lot of people stayed stuck with the cheating thing.
First off, the drama is about divorce, and cheating is the most common reason for it. So it isn't unnatural for the drama to include it.
The drama repeatedly showed FL is also guilty and even her lawyer, the ML, also acknowledged it. They also talked about the negative impacts of it on the kids of such family. Nowhere it glorified cheating.
Please try to understand that the main point of this case is why A DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY is to be blamed. The abusive husband and the mentally exhausted FL are secondary elements here.
I agree. I sympathize with the kid. Having an abusive partner is not an excuse for an affair. She should've divorced…
I don't think the drama tried to make excuses for cheating. Of course cheating is inexcusable and even SSH also said the mom is horrible (the conversation with the kid). But some people do have their reasons for cheating. Again, only stating her reasons, I am not being supportive of it.
Having an abusive partner mentally drained her and not everyone has clear reasoning abilities when stressed out. So the FL ended up making bad choices with the sudden attention from the restaurant guy as she was craving a warm relationship and wanted to be loved and respected again.
It was also mentioned in the drama that FL thought about divorcing him but then her brother died and she no longer had the courage to do so.
She neither deserves sympathy nor hate imo. We should wait for her to have her character development in the upcoming episodes. It is kind of sad that we stayed stuck with the cheating thing and kept forgetting that she has also been a victim all these times. Like SSH said during mediation, we too are doing second degree harm to a fictional character.
Define wrong though. Taking an underaged kid for a meal is not wrong on its own if one of their parents know that…
I understand your point, in fact we both are in the same vein. But my main point here is the 'mom', not the kid. The mom is already in a vulnerable position, mentally blaming herself for being a bad parent. She would have completely broken down if anything slightly bad happen to her kid in her absence. No matter the situation, she would blame herself for being negligent.
Yes, as I have commented earlier, I also think the meeting was pre-planned.

See above, I spoke in favor.
Sometimes bad intentions aren't everything, anything could have accidentally happened on the way to have meals. Whom would the mother blame if something like that happens? The attorney? The kid? Or herself for not being there? It will only add up to the trauma of having failed as a mother again. Yes I know it's far fetched and probability of such occurrence is low, still a mother who is in a vulnerable situation should stay extra careful.
So I am slightly unsupportive of the idea of taking a kid elsewhere. Why not sit somewhere in the school? Okay, talking over food makes everyone feel at ease, so I also get that point. Still a slight itch.
Apparently the drama messed up with FL's case. Here's excerpt from namu wiki
>Some say that it is difficult to sympathize with the character of the female lead, Lee Seo-jin. It is true that Husband Hee-seop's behavior is inappropriate, but the main point is that Lee Seo-jin's affair cannot be justified either. Criticism is also coming out that she should have put the setting that she had committed an affair. However, the original work describes in detail the process of Lee Seo-jin falling into her affair. It's less critical than drama.
He took an underage kid for a meal and nobody thinks this is wrong? Just cause he’s the protagonist? One…no…
He is an attorney lol. He would be the last person to mess with his client's son. Also he did ask the mom for permission to talk to him earlier.
The mom could also be guilty, so it was necessary to talk to him alone and let him speak at ease. You should remember that he also mentioned about his right to stay silent before starting the conversation.
Hope so. Ep2 was solid. I haven't been moved by a drama for a while (last time was cdrama go ahead). I am still processing this episode. Shouldn't have watched this before bed.
Really disappointed in episode 15 but also the last few episodes.
Same, it fell flat for me after the reveal. There wasn't many fun or fluffy moments either to keep me engaged. Hope they won't drag noble idiocy subplot of hae yi and better give us fun and cute moments like earlier.
I'm prepared to get roasted because a lot of MDL commenters have very strong views regards affairs. Anyway, I…
I agree. I don't support adultery but some people do have their reasons. Not everyone is a douchy cheater.
Just hope people wouldn't spew hatred towards the FL (thankfully she is a veteran and well known and respected) if the leads become romantically involved later.
Anyway, you will probably like love affairs in the afternoon. It's about adulterers who are stuck in unfortunate marriage and can't divorce. I haven't watched it though, heard good reviews.
I like this drama. It was a good first episode and It seems like a very good drama. Although, I don't like this…
I also don't like adultery plots but it is nothing out of natural for a divorce specific drama to include it. I actually preferred it that they presented both the husband and wife as guilty, one is the stinkiest disgusting piece of garbage though.
I hope the drama keeps including 'it takes two hands to clap' concept. It makes things real and interesting.
Rating should be given based on the plot, acting, cinematography, pacing and such.

My guess is, his pain could be related to divorce. Could be his parent's or his.
Cute fun drama.
Not really.
Most probably unless the writer did some last min stupid changes.
