>why these women is acting like victim after cheating....You would know what the drama is trying to tell if you…
To add on this, the FL cheated because she was so exhausted from the lack of respect and mental abuse that she lost her sense of reasoning when she received a little attraction with respect from a random waiter.

Again, neither op or I are justifying her actions, just pointing out what it has been for her. Not everyone has a strong conscience or are mentally resilient.

She does not deserve any pity or sympathy imo as her later action (cheating) kind of canceled her being a victim of emotional abuse. But at the end of the day she was the better smelling shit than her husband so she wins the custody.

This is why context matters. No fault divorce is not acceptable in South Korea. Both parties have to consent to divorce.

Anyway, exploring the root causes is not justification. The drama only tried to explore the different cases that may lead to dysfunctional family and then to divorce and also showed how the kids of such families suffer most.

This drama tends to include the divorce cases of flawed people with detailed backstories and everyone who are watching it, even the ML himself, readily agrees that both such parties are pos, just that one of them is a less stinkier shit.

Sorry if this drama is a trigger for you. You can drop it or choose to watch it with an open mind from the viewpoint of the characters. The drama has many fun and relaxing scenes.

I stop watching after ep 1 coz why these women is acting like victim after cheating....
>why these women is acting like victim after cheating....

You would know what the drama is trying to tell if you had bothered to continue watching it. Not everyone is inherently bad or a serial cheater, some maybe caught up in situations and ended up making bad choices.

Anyway, the ML himself says at one point that the FL is a horrible person for cheating.

Whatever, making a strong opinion over something you barely watched is kinda silly yk

I feel like a broken record at this point but what does the FL's sub-plot add to this drama? The character is…
>what does the FL's sub-plot add to this drama?

So far only shin sung Han and hyeong geun have detailed characterization and to some extent hhj. I think it's for being related to divorce. So from this sense, Han hye Jin's only purpose is to portray the persona of a divorced adultress and her life afterwards, how she moves on and such.

Review Divorce Attorney Shin Spoiler
It's a matter of outlook. You see the drama glorifying cheating because it involves FL and I see it as exploring…
1. Husband cheated because wife was a gold digger and valued her happiness more.

He won the case because she was willing to let him die by not approving him to have a liver transplant and was eyeing on the insurance money.

2. ML's assistant/friend hyeong geun's wife cheated because he couldn't give her enough time because of his busy work load in previous company.

They had a clean divorce.

3. An SK man married a young Vietnamese woman out of love and pity and even worked double to support her family. She cheated and framed him as an abuser by faking/self-hurting (the case is on-going) and turning it into a social hot issue that old, misogynistic man taking advantage and torturing helpless immigrant.

So far it seems like sk man is going to win the case through DNA testing on the child.

4. A case where none of the spouse was at fault, rather the MIL mentally abused the wife and turned things difficult for them. The case didn't hit the court and was solved during mitigation.

The MIL realized her mistakes and apologized and they had a fresh start.

Since you have already dropped it, the drama involves three more adultery cases of flawed people where- (spoiler ahead)

Just started watching Strangers. Cho Seung Woo looks so different there 😳
Good decision. How are you liking it so far?

I mostly watch romcoms but it's the best kdrama for me in terms of tight plot and fantastic acting that actually kept the quality high till the end.

Each to their own. But that's too strong assumptions for something you didn't watch. Hope you didn't rate it.

Do we know how Shin's parents died? I'm starting to get the feeling that evil wife set up his sister's and parents…
His parents died earlier, I don't remember the year but it was written in the tombstone.

also who is noodle shop lady crushing on? sometimes I feel like it's Sunghan, but PV seems to show divorced ahjussi?
Interesting, I never felt she was crushing on sunghan. For me it was obvious with the divorced ahjusshi esp from the hospital scene.

What is the stepmother trying so hard to hide? Or gain? 'Cos I'm not buying this inferiority complex bs. I can't…
>I can't believe they were trying to act like Shin Sung Han is not a hottie

Ikr I have seen his four dramas and in two of them (DAS and God's gift) they spoke negatively of his looks. Also in Life, his secretary kept saying Lee dong wook looks like a Greek God and totally ignored Cho seung woo when he said that he also looks good. Even weird, csw kept self praising his looks in all of them.

This seems like a pattern at this point esp since most other drama praise MLs for their looks. Wonder if koreans really think so. Or it could be some kind of inside jokes. I think it's later, he may not look like the regular Korean flower boys, but he is extremely handsome and elegant to me.

Have you watched his movies and musicals? I highly recommend "marathon". He acted so believable as an autistic character that the movie is still used to study autism in S Korea.

in all the dramas I've watched I haven't seen someone with a crazy inferiority complex like Young Joo. You won…
>You won you have everything. there's really no need to be like that

Funny that everyone around her also said the same thing.

Noh Susanna is doing a fabulous job as Jin Young Joo. She had a quite small screentime up until this episode.…
Ikr her way of speaking alone irritates me.

At first I was expecting some romance between the leads. But now I can see that it’s better if they’re not…
I also prefer the platonic relationships portrayed here and wouldn't mind a slight hint of romance like in "life". But anything more than that, not yet sure about it. But kiss scene seems odd with the vibe.

Do you know if the webtoon had romance? I have a feeling it had since Lee seojin and shin sunghan were the only main characters there and the webtoon writer made lsj join the firm as his secretary.
