I'm not saying they shouldn't have had anaconda arc but they could've reduced his screentime & should've inserted some sweet moments between Paeng & Arthit.

But in novel, jee was always sexually harassed by her step dad hence she drinks to get away with the pain. Also Sathit in the original was way more cruel. He would go to any extent to make her life miserable and he even rapes her.

So I'm glad for all the changes they made in the new version.

I hope SD will regret his actions coz as you said I agree that trespassing into SY's home & manhandling him was not a good way to gain back his love & trust. But he was too drunk to realize the intensity of his actions. And it is impossible for SD to open his mouth about what made him shut SY completely out of his life when he is sober. So, the drunk scene acted as a catalyst where he dropped the hints here & there (For ex: telling SY "You are always being protected")
And not to forgot, SD probably decided to force his way into SY's life coz he still sees SY misses him & has feelings for him. So, he is trying whatever he can to bring back the old SY.

But after seeing him uncomfortable, how can they keep on doing that to him?

I felt its not the manhandling and forcing himself on SY that made SY give in to SD, it was seeing him cry & saying he shouldn't have left to US is what made SY curious & he loosed up a bit giving SD a chance to explain (coz SY is still in torment that SD disappeared on him even without a closure) . And I didn't find the couch scene romantic at all. It was a messy confrontation.

Also, I still feel they've not had sex? (I really hope they make it clear in the upcoming episodes though).

I'm high key pissed with those nasty reporters being so nosy about Sam's personal life & always shoots him with unnecessary private questions making him feel very uncomfortable. Though I am glad that someone from the team always come to his rescue but I feel bad seeing Sam being pushed in the spot every freaking time ughhhh!

Yu has equally nailed the drunk scene <3 All his expressions were so raw and real to the point I really wondered if it was all really just acting. Beneath his hatred for Gao Shide, his love for him clearly peeked through in his eyes and in his body language. I actually saw the Shuyi who was madly in love with Shide 5 years ago.

For whoever saying he got drunk for the scene so his acting is not Praiseworthy. Let me tell you, I've heard cases where certain actors breakup with their real life gfs or use the feelings of their real breakups/heart breaks for the characters they play. It's called Method acting. And for me it shows Sam's dedication towards his craft and his passion for Gao Shide. So,please stop treating him like a criminal. He did what he had to do and what he was asked to do. There's nothing wrong in it.
