He Jia Li is so similar to Jo March in my eyes.

They finished filming a couple of years ago, but it hasn't been released. The theory is that the korean studio "Hanyang Studio" went bankruptcy or that Barcode/Jeff wouldn't except the quality of it. Either way it hasn't been relased and neither Barcode or Jeff really wants to talk about the drama anymore.

Barcode and Jeff are gonna collab in the upcoming drama "Happy Ending", it's gonna be produced by Jeff's own company, so we're all looking forward for that one.

To me "Six Sisters" reminds me of "Little Women" 1994 and 2019.

I agree, I have watched her dramas since 2017 and she keeps evolving as an actress. She keeps pushing the boundaries and trying new things.

In her latest short film there was AI technolegy evolved and she slapped herself more than 10 times to get all the takes and to make it believable.

I haven't seen Northward, but Six Sister is a masterpiece.
The dynamics between He jiali and her parents/sisters remind me of "little women".

Six Sisters was filmed last year (2024), so Shen Yue was around 26/27 years old, when she played He Jiai at 17 years old.

I'm happy for her, but growing older and getting signs of aging is part of life.
The actors who looks "older" is just as beautiful to me as those with a "Youth look".

Congratulation Shen Yue for winning the Golden Angel Award for "Most Promising Actress of the Year" at the 21st Chinese American Film Festival for the role as young He Jiali in the drama "Six Sisters".

The dynamic between Shen Yue, Vivian Wu (He Jiali's mother) and Liu Jun (He Jiali's father) was a chef's kiss. Her reunion with Gao Zhi Ting was an extra cherry on top, they still had the same sweet chemistry as, when they acted together in "A Love So Beautiful".

Shen Yue's ability to act with her eyes is truly incredible, made me cry a couple of times aswell watching this drama.

This award was well deserved 👏

I'm getting a little inpatient too, but that's only because, I'm so invested.
Let's give them the time they need, I really want to see them doing the novel justice, even though they probably have to leave something out because of chinese censorship.

I was really invested in it. I can't wait to see Xia Xia and Xie Huai in the "The Great Dreamer". Both Xia and Huai has had very traumatic experiences and they kind of helping each other getting through it, plus the romance in it is something I have never seen Shen Yue in before...

I'm guessing some of the novel will be left out because of chinese censorship, but if it's going to be just half as good as the novel, it's going to be so good!

The novel "The Great Dreamer" is adapted from is called "Da Meng Xiang Jia" (大梦想家).

As someone who has read the novel it's adapted from, the trailer is just a teaser for the Mango TV Autumn Conference, it dosen't showcase the drama probably.
This is not an "normal" idol drama. There are heavy societal problems, family issues and mental health issues in it. I think, they just wanted to have something to show for the conference. I guess we have to keep being a little patient.
