i agree. it could have been better than what we got. the performers are skilled, the set was eye catching, there were so many elements and details that could have been expanded on to include what you mentioned. but the script and director didn't do it.

I believe this is it https://fanqienovel.com/page/6972549010594728973
That’s the text I found too. But the characters and narrative don’t match. I started reading it and it’s so different. I wasn’t sure if this is loosely based on it or if it’s the wrong novel.
Does anyone have the link to the novel? I’m having a heck of a time finding it online. It doesn’t have to be in English (I have Chrome auto translate almost all Chinese texts). TIA!
the plot is so confusing to say the least. I like ML and FL though.
I loved the show, that’s why I’m upset I’m so confused. When the fortune writer reveals himself as the father and she kills herself, I don’t understand the conversation between the two Su Yunqis. I also don’t understand the point of the fortune writer. It seems like it’s just for his amusement. Like what the point of anyone existing if they’re just puppets unless that’s the whole point and a commentary on religious or spiritual beliefs. I think it has to do with life being arbitrary and controlling your own fate instead of being controlled by fate. But the sequences from the wedding to her sleep and the mirror … I’m confused.
With sub u watched in YouTube? Which channel? I m watching in kisskh updated till 22
I was watching it on myasiantv and then switched to YouTube because I had a random recommendation for the title “My villainess has awakened.” I want to rewatch them once they’re updated where I was originally watching them because the subtitles are better.
I loved this but then the last 2 episodes happened. Am I the only one who thought it was weird? It felt off course and random that it weakened the drama for me. I’m a bit disappointed. I don’t know if the subtitles are to blame? I finished it up on YouTube since it’s not updated elsewhere. But I plan on watching the last 2 episodes again once it’s out on other platforms because I can’t figure out why the drama would do what it did at the end.
for those who have been following along with me on YoutTube, my apologies for lagging. here is episode 11 with English subs: https://youtu.be/ReLoxI6w5ms

(I'm an English speaker and I find automated translations sometimes confusing, and out of context - all my translations are done manually and I check for comprehension. my apologies if there are translation inaccuracies. sometimes it's difficult to find an English equivalent and I think about how we would say something similar in English).
