The final scenes of two villains were so painfully to watch. That was so sick of Vincenzo making them die such…
He's not supposed to be a hero. I guess a lot of people forget that because he's likeable, but he's supposed to be that ruthless. They mentioned his ruthlessness over and over from episode 1, so it makes sense that they delivered.
This is not an anti hero or a mafia show. This is the story of a wannabe mafia who people call an anti hero becoz…
He's... not supposed to be a hero. The show made that clear from beginning to end. It's just that he's likeable, so people forget that. But, nah. He's not a hero. He's not supposed to be a hero. He himself says that over and over and over. And as a previous commenter mentioned below, the show is about two powers fighting it out. A hero in the traditional sense would not kill, he would split the gold with everyone who helped him and fight for the little guy. The only true hero is Cha Young's father. This show is about how the good guys die because they are not willing to cross the line and the bad guys fight for power... just like in real life.
This is the most accurate portrayal of law I've ever seen in a kdrama. The attention to detail is paramount in law, and it's so great to see a tv show that actually focuses on that, rather than the surface meaning of statutes.
This was such a well-rounded, warm-hearted drama that gave me strong feelings with each episode. This show made me cry effortlessly, and now all I want is for more people to watch this and appreciate what it has to offer. It couldn't have been made any better.
That ending was WOW! Very few dramas stick the landing, but Vincenzo definitely ended on the right note. The first few episodes might have been slow and the writing might have been all over the place here and there, but it was SO entertaining. I couldn't have asked for a better ending. It fits the show 100%.
And Song Joong Ki, I might have liked you briefly before, but now I'm officially a fan. I can't imagine anyone else playing the role of Vincenzo. The role was sleek, comedic, warm-hearted, and when the moments of revenge rolled around, no one does dead behind the eyes better than you.
They actually showed us that. BR showed him a bomb around the kid so probably because of that the father didn’t…
From the flashbacks, I assume that BR is HSJ's child and he was born without apathy, and the mother swapped her child with the child of the woman who died. Meanwhile, she chose to raise YH who had the same psychopath gene but is actually the son of a good man. So I assume that what they are going with is that genetics play a big part.
A son of a predator with the psychopath gene is more likely to be a predator, than the son of a commoner who also has the psychopath gene, for he will probably be a genius (but a sociopath).
The amount of manipulations is sickening, what a busy dude , must've been tiring .......i really hate him, the…
Right??? These are the sort of episodes a normal drama would put during their run time. I'm honestly wondering how the rest of the five episodes will go when they are answering questions through special episodes.

He used to have the hero quality when he was a child, DURING his traumatic experience. Meanwhile, Moo Chi had the coward's quality and the lack of intelligence when he was a child (eg:- crying and calling out like that when his mother and brother told him to stay quiet). But they are both different as adults. Both brothers processed the trauma in two different extreme ways. Moo Chi focused on revenge and anger. He believed that death was the only right choice for those who bring about death, but he's too good to follow through personally. Meanwhile, Father Ko, processed the trauma differently. He excused all that happened as the decision of the Almighty. Which meant that if anything bad ever happened, it's still God's decision, so who is he to interrupt it? All Father Ko cared about is that his brother didn't blame himself. He didn't care whether he died or even the kid died (it would be sad, but it's God's plan), but he cared if Moo Chi blamed himself.
Had he been any other character, he wouldn't have died for his principles. He would have saved himself for Moo Chi. But Father Ko didn't. That's how extreme his belief is.
(Fun fact: I personally know someone who refused to go look for a job because he believes that as long as he prays, God will provide a job for him, So there are people who have such a strong belief that they just go along and do nothing)

I agree. For entertainment purposes, they're portraying characters in a very extreme way. Father Ko takes forgiveness to the extreme. Moo Chi takes revenge to the extreme. BR takes his hatred of God to the extreme. And what were the chances of Bong Yi having so many connections to that many psychopaths? This is fiction with a sci-fi element after all (eg:- successful brain surgery). I honestly don't think there will be a moral of the story.

Staying silent like that was very much part of his personality. If it had been Bong Yi or anyone else, they would have revealed BR's identity without hesitation. If you look back at Father Ko's characterisation, he was never someone to speak up or get involved in anything. He stays in the sidelines and doesn't help or hinder. His personality is the sort of the extreme devout: what happens, happens for a reason. He lets the villains be villains and the heroes be heroes and he doesn't get involved. Instead he prays, and that's all he does.
I wouldn't have believed had any other character stayed silent at that moment, but with Father Ko, I 100% believe it. He had compassion for everyone, including killers. And a firm belief that those who died would lose nothing in death. He doesn't view death as a bad thing compared to every other character in the show. He doesn't act like it's something to be avoided. If it happens, it's part of the almighty plan. - I'm sure that's how he processed the death of his parents.

What a marvelous end to a marvelous drama.
