I recommend The Fiery Priest (same writer as Vincenzo) and Lawless Lawyer.

I get that. I know that a lot of people who don't know the writer's work were disappointed after the first Italian mafia scene. Those who have watched his work saw the slapstick comedy coming a mile away.

Nothing makes sense in this show. It's disjointed and the writing is 100% messy and random like a tv soap. The best way to enjoy it is not to treat it like any other show. Vincenzo is its own monster. It has its own genre and its own writing style. There is nothing realistic in this drama. From the world, to the characters (who all have a secret talent that Vincenzo will use at the end to win over the bad guys), to the premise and the situations and the over the top Bond villains... It's basically a summer blockbuster movie, in 20 episodes... but comedy first.

You can see the issues and you still can't drop the show right? That's PJB's specialty. Very few people can drop his shows. xD

I honestly forgot about that. TBH, I thought it was a random premise thrown in to make the show interesting, but not a main part of the plot since the ML doesn't think about it at all.

What supernatural element? I've watched all the episodes released. Did I miss something?

Give the first few episodes a go and then continue if you feel like it. Everyone likes different things, so if it's something that interests you, you should give it a chance regardless of the rating.

It's definitely hard to compare both. Shin Ha Kyun's acting was elevated due to the amazing script and the seriousness of his character which gives him a consistency in his role, while Song Joong Ki's acting has perfectly captured different genres (even in one episode), which shows him to be a very versatile actor. - So it really depends on each person's personal preference, rather than an objective decision.

I agree with the above commenter. The FL is very over the top, but with every episode, she starts to grow on you. By the end you'll end up liking her and you'll have no idea how that happened. lol.

Same here. I nearly missed it too because I thought it was a remake of DOTS. I don't usually watch remakes. But so many people were raving about this drama I had to check it out. While DOTS is over the top entertainment, You Are My Hero is down to earth and slow-burn. Definitely two different dramas.

I think it helps to manage your expectations regarding what show you're watching. This drama is primarily a comedy, and it's meant to be over the top with no basis in reality. And the comedy is supposed to be slapstick, not adorable. It's supposed to be like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - Super random. The slapstick comedy and the mix of genres with the over the top plot lines with entertainment being the main focus, is the writer's style. The Fiery Priest is a great example of this.

If you're looking for something based in reality where the comedy is the kind you like, I recommend Chief Kim. Same writer, but it's an office drama, so it's not over the top. It's very heartwarming, entertaining, and the comedy is not slapstick at all.

Can we appreciate Song Joong Ki's acting in episode 16???? The emotion! The range! The skill!- I can't imagine anyone else playing this role now.

I just started watching it, and I'm enjoying it. Da Hee and Jae Suk are especially my faves. The only scenes I find super boring that I want to fast forward is the new unni and her girls. I'm just not as invested in her story as I am with the core family's.

Descendants of the Sun is a Kdrama where a male special forces military officer and a female surgeon end up interacting with each other due to emergency situations. The overall premise is similar, but the stories are different.

Batman doesn't kill, actually. I would say they are turning him more into Dexter, a serial killer who kills serial killers in order to keep his instincts in check. It's not a superhero story.

4 episodes left until it ends. I guess I should get cracking. lol.

If you haven't watched them yet, I would recommend The Uncanny Counter, Zombie Detective, Catch the Ghost and My Secret Terrius, It's all about action and team work with a found family. And also a fair bit of comedy.

Bonus: Chief Kim - Mostly an office based comedy, but addictive. There are a few action sequences too. (And, it's the same writer as Vincenzo and The Fiery Priest).

I've fallen behind with this drama. Is it worth continuing? I last watched episode 9.
