It was actually an open ending. ;)A new time bubble was created when Seo Hae traveled back into the past to meet…
I agree. The plane scene is a trope I've seen before in kdrama.
In the show I watched, the ML dies at the end, and the show ended with the ML and FL walking hand in hand, having a mundane happy moment until bright lights faded the scene out. This was the exact same thing. The writers ended with a 'what if' moment. What if Tae Sul survived and Seo Hae was in his hallucinations? It has no real bearing on the overall story. Just a minor happy moment for the shippers.
1. Messily written. 2. Not a fan of the direction as there was no perceived threat to the main leads even before the reveal in Ep 15. Pacing was a huge issue too. I was bored 75% of the time. 3. Justifying romance in this drama by making the big villain play cupid was hilariously ridiculous. Not to mention having the Control Bureau there only to make two people fall in love . - It's the weakest explanation I've ever seen in sci-fi. (And I watch Doctor Who). 4. I liked the ending (probably one of the few who did). I would have liked it better without that last plane scene. I would have liked it even better if the loop had continued.
So far while watching this one thing has been running through my mind....all these people come from the future…
I was thinking the same thing. Especially when it comes to Seo Hae. From her journal entry and everything, it's clear that she's for the time loop. She wants to keep going back, fight a losing battle and cause the end of the world (a.k.a the Korean Peninsula).
Can someone explain to me why Sigma played cupid when he could have just kidnapped the brother and forced Tae Sul to make the uploader? I mean, a lifetime with a brother you thought was dead vs. a woman you fell in love with within a course of a few weeks... It's kind of a no brainer.
At least the incompetence has been answered. The boredom I felt the past 10 episodes due to lack of actual threat to the main leads has been validated.
(I just realised that the whole point of the Control Bureau was to make two people fall in love LMAO)
How I want this show to end: Nothing changes. Infinite loop. Let them do this over and over again.
This is a complete Asian thing but it still annoys me. Why is the mother surprised when other people put down her children when she's the first person to do so? She even calls her most "successful" daughter lacking. The mother keeps saying that she doesn't have a good husband or kids but a good son-in-law. *rolls eyes*
She's fast becoming my least favourite character. Maybe stop putting down your own children only to place their partners on a pedestal? And then maybe... Just maybe... People will stop insulting your children to your face.
Ok so this comment is not just for you, it is for future readers.Don't expect thrill, suspense, seriousness, mind-blowing…
This is the best description of PJB dramas. It's pure entertainment with a mix of genres and over the top comedy so if some people don't find it entertaining, that's okay. Not every show is meant for everyone.
I'm really loving the drama so far! I know that some people don't really want romance and I understand but I just…
I feel the same. So far, they are really doing all the characters justice. Whether it be romance or no romance, I just want to see the journey of all the characters. Four episodes in, I'm fully invested. Especially in Deok Chul and Chae Rok's happiness.
They don't have enough content for 16 episodes. I wish this show was 12 episodes instead like other well written…
I'm a HUGE fan of W. I binge watched it in two days because it was super addictive. And for me, the pacing was perfect. As for Memories of Alhambra. I loved it. I felt like it rushed a bit towards the end, but overall, it was well thought of and the CGI was good.
Unlike W and Memories of Alhambra, there is no cohesive vision in Sisyphus, which brings a strong disconnect between the story and the execution. I sense a strong disagreement between the director and writers. They've chosen mediocre animators to do the CGI, the gun fight sequences are downright lazily shot and they've cast models who can't act to play officers in the Control Bureau.
Someone behind the scenes doesn't care about this show and is throwing money at it just because. Sisyphus is one of those big budget summer blockbusters that have a lot of hype, and interesting premise, but falls flat in its execution due to everyone behind the scenes fighting each other. It's either that, or the director just doesn't care and he's doing this for money.
This show has no clear vision, and as a result, the pacing is all over the place. There are still mysteries to unravel, and they haven't answered most of the questions yet. And there are only two episodes left.
The ability to create a mystery where people work on theories is great, but the ability to give answers to the mystery while simultaneously shocking the audience is a talent all on its own. Unfortunately, the writers of Sisyphus have no such talent. This show was badly planned, and the pacing suffers as a result.
Also, I watched Penthouse, but dropped it after the first season because everyone screams all the time. lol. The drama is a spoof of Sky Castle, so the pacing being all over the place is forgivable and the acting being over the top is forgivable. Actually, a lot of things are forgivable in a comedy, but not in a drama, I guess.
Bro, the holes in this drama's logic sometimes...If Tae-sul loves Seo-hae so much that he'd end the world (which…
As someone who loves smart characters, this drama is disappointing. Everyone is either incompetent, emotional 100% of the time or an idiot. The writers... Man, I'm never going to watch something they've written ever again. They don't know what they're doing. There are so many plot holes I've lost count.
Gosh, I'm not seeing the point of the long screen time of these future scenes. Like, I get you wanna show the…
They don't have enough content for 16 episodes. I wish this show was 12 episodes instead like other well written time travel dramas. It would have been concise with less filler scenes.
I watched the first episode and LOVED the first 15 minutes with the crime stuff in Italy, but when he went back…
This show is primarily a comedy. The writer is well known for it. It starts with slapstick comedy, ridiculous supporting characters, but then heavy stuff keeps coming up more and more, and by the end, the story is addictive. But it does help to view this show as a comedy first. I think, because of that first scene, a lot of people who are not familiar with the writer's work were thrown off by the change in tone, while the people who are familiar with his work saw the comedy coming a mile away. The writer likes mixing genres.

Conclusion: Better than Alice, worse than Train.
