I’ve just watched this movie...I think it’s worth watching and it’s kinda understatement here...this movie is laid back and yet meaningful, bringing out the simple but yet need some fate (timing) and effort for us to appreciate those beside us.
IMHO, the alternate couple (grandma & her lover) had a touching story...nt sure if it’s bcos of the various scenes or the well scripted lines but the very moment he said the reason why he keep coming back to one place, aww...it just makes my tears flow. Touching...as they had missed each other throughout their lifetime and lived with regrets all along!
But as for the main couple (Kris & Claudia-Jin Tian) I do feel their story is just mirroring the alternate couple instead of the other way round. Seems like the alternate couple took the limelight in a way.
Then when I check here only I realize the grandma, Lan Xin character was acted out by the movie’s director herself! No wonder...her expression can be subtle but yet her eyes brings out the emotion well. So she’s the director of this movie, and she did perform well for her character. Didn’t regret watching this at all.
P.S. there’s never 100% perfection in all movies, so my sharing above is ignoring the not-so-logical train tickets (I mean I’ve been to Europe before...and how can we travel from there to China by train back in those yesterdays! haha) and the scarf shop book keeping records (OMG...which business owner is going to keep hardcopy records of their customer base 40yrs ago...somemore got war era for this story, all probably missing records!) and etc..but lets just let it go. And just enjoy the show! ^^
THE CLASS PREZ IS 24 IRL?? And the ML is 26?????........I'm - I'm shook
oh why were u surprised? Korean high school drama are mostly the actor and actress had way passed their teenage years...hahaha...perhaps Asian age gracefully ^^
Worth watching if u enjoy light hearted high school love. Many cliches and u-will-know-what’s-next scenes but hey, it’s good to sometimes spend just 120mins on something that’s simple and yet good ending.
Just finished binge watching...but I feel it’s a bit of a rush the ending, don’t u think? I know it’s a comedy genre (besides romance) but why is the director ending the drama abruptly like that..aikes. fun watch but ending too sudden.
hey guys, u know what...I just realized the YouTube version had been removed and so is it rest of the other source. TBH I haven’t got time to watch it (despite having put my reply here indicating YT source few months back...now I finally got time to watch but no longer having access! Sobs*)
Anyone has any idea if there’s anywhere else we can online watch it?
I’ve watched the Korean version before watching this Taiwanese version. All I could say is...both is equally good in their own way. Taiwan adaption did not fully copy and paste the entire storyline but making little changes here and there...injecting in their own humor, which is good! Many funny exaggerated parts (but not annoying) that made me giggle and chuckle like a school girl! (yeah, especially the funny running out of apartment with bare minimal!) Hahaha...
Ryan Zheng (main actor) always carries such character well as he’s a talented actor and enjoy watching the main actress expression too...she’s skinny/ petite (it’s a compliment, no offence!) as always but for a small body frame lady she’s full of acting skills to wow us audience.
Happy to finally see Kun Da (the main actor) in a main character role...his chemistry with the main actress is good. IMHO this drama is sorta low budget (all scenes usually revolves around the small village as story background) but surprisingly it’s very meaningful as the messages (the story) is trying to bring across to audience is all about love, sacrifices and how life is...exactly how I always like Taiwanese drama to be (meaningful and of course Taiwan also trying to promote youngsters to find their roots instead of only focus in venturing in outside city life)
And the songs is very catchy tune...fell in love with the beginning song and ending song right away...^^
that ending scene was basically a flashback to when they first met; he was actually the first guy she saw and…
hey thankss so much...I was very worried the ending part could meant that she’s back to Square One (since this is a time travelling story from the beginning!) thankfully it’s NOT! hahaha...flashback is better than transported back to the beginning. Thanks again for the enlightenment. Cheers! ^^
I just found all episodes are out in YouTube...u may check it out but no Eng subs yet just mandarin subtitles.https://youtu.be/GtsGXmj-RuQ
Thanks for being interested. But kindly note, the credit shd belong to other user, namely ‘Lovely Transulations’. Please read above conversation trail and liaise with the right party ya. Cheers!
I’ve just watched the ending ep 40 on YouTube. I really thought it was happy ending (read some post below and decided better to continue till ending since it’s happy ending) and QY had chosen CH, instead of insisting on his plot against the entire martial world...but hey, why ending part he erased something from the book beside CH bedside—what’s that supposedly hand written? I can’t read mandarin so couldn’t understand what was erased and why.
And why is QY hair returned to black when it actually went grey hair (due to over use of power to save CH)...anything I’ve missed out? Hope someone can bring some light to this ending part. Thanking in advance!
Had been procrastinating from watching this sequel (frankly, I had a so-so review from my friend who went for the movie...boy, i was so wrong! Everyone really has different taste!) and luckily just chanced upon this movie on my pay-tv-channel. Despite having started on tv 20mins before but I got hooked up right away from wherever I started to watching...
This sequel is so touching that had me reaching for my tissue (yeah the script can totally resonates on life’s love & sacrifice for others and the plotline having the twist is awesome. A must watch if u r a fan of the first version and also if u r into fantasy movie bringing meaningful messages.
I've just finished and I'm also really confused about the ending. I've never seen a drama like this before and…
Thx for sharing your thoughts. My first time watching a webdrama like this too...but such drama did played out in reality when one of my acquaintance friend (actually my ex-colleague at work) told me she had been a two-timer before (this drama is more unexpected as three bfs!) but in the end she too broke up with both as her advise to us (during all girls night out) is don’t ever do such a thing as loving relationship can’t be build on lies after lies, unlike in movies. So I’m kinda half curious when I saw this title thinking can she (main character) really pull it through.
Don’t be mad...it’s just a drama...so Director probably wanna make it more exciting and unexpected for more ratings bcos that ain’t going to happen in real life!
Movies about life usually takes some time to digest, or at least needs to be watched in a more private environment to better immerse into the plotline. Thus, same goes for this movie.
Knowing there’s the Italian version (original) but had decided to first watch the remake Korean version (just in case the original overpowers the remake...haha). IMHO, this Korean version is well played out with thought provoking messages that after watching will make us appreciate the beauty of a ‘white lie’...sometimes not knowing the truth is really much better. I can’t say it applies to all situation or everyone but at least certain things are better left untold...(especially when telling the truth won’t even change the facts or anything but just upset everyone else that’s being pulled into the subject!)
Frankly, in reality im not someone who’s supporting the idea of telling white lies but to a certain extent, society needs it. Humans tend to want to hear what we want to hear, see what we want to see...something automatically done in selective manner.
Couldn’t agree better that everyone lives 3 lives...one for PUBLIC (perhaps for our profession or career needs), one for PRIVATE (the one with our family and friends) and one is totally a SECRET (that’s only ourselves should know and that’s where we are free to be ourselves not worry about what others think or have to say). just like what I read before on a phrase, ‘We were all a solid person before we are attached to another person (bf/ gf/ partner/ spouse) so why is that once we are together we lost ourselves along the way...’ If these boundaries are broken down, disaster ensues just like how this movie wants us to put more thoughts to the other side of the spectrum what would it become.
Next thing, I think I should watch the Italian version too since it’s the original...just in case I may have missed something awesome.
I’ve watched the Japanese drama and movie so when this Korean version is being release I’m looking forward to see if there could be a different ending for the plotline (as i obviously didn’t really like the Japanese version ending but guess it had to be such bittersweet since affair for many many decades is labeled as a sinful act to begin with and still is a society taboo now!).
As myself was once in the kids position of a restructured family (I’m well grown up now), and from real life experience I can say...it’s not entirely wrong for a couple to break up/ divorce despite having kids (since unhappy together, why stay together to live a dreadful meaningless life...kids can sense it anyway!) so it’s best to part ways amicably and each find their own true love. I do think today’s society is already modernize to the extent that we are no longer accustomed to being a divorcee is any big unacceptable or despicable status...as anyone can fall in and out of love but the point is, if they had tried ways to mending it but yet still fails..then that’s probably ‘it’...full stop.
Meeting the RIGHT person at the RIGHT timing = Perfect match;
Meeting the RIGHT person at the WRONG timing = Ambiguities (which can lead to possible affairs/ infidelity depending how it’s handled);
Meeting the WRONG person at the WRONG timing = Totally disastrous
Just can’t wait to see the ending how this Korean director wants this drama’s closure to be...
no there is no kissing scene but the leads chemistry is so good that it honestly isn't needed.
true true...sometimes is the very split second moment of before kissing but both eyes were lovingly fixated on each other that sparks chemistry...and that momentary (slow-mo frame done by director) whereby locked gaze into each other’s soul.. ^^
OMG...could anyone pls tell me if got any sequel to this drama...it’s too nice (IMHO, just 20 short episodes with 30mins+/- each but can have such a good plotline is totally awesome for me!) to end just like this...did the main character (Bai He & Chong Jing) managed to meet each other in the other story realm??
And the father was looking into the photo of both Bai He & Yan Xi...so who had already returned to reality world? From the father’s facial expression as though no one had returned to reality world...
Aiyo, why ending hanging like this..after all the chasing for each episodes...sobs sobs...
Strangely this website can’t view any episodes after 11 onwards...could be removed already?
To everyone who could be as fanatic as me right now..can try checking out the v.gimy.tv is surprisingly HD version and all complete episodes (just that no Eng translation though).
