What a little gem this show is! If you love "Splash Splash Love" like I do, and think it's one of the best mini…
somehow IMHO Splash Splash Love seems a more enjoyable watch than this—probably bcos the FL have some good comedic facial expression thus there’s humor in tht web drama (rom-com + time traveling genre)

Whereas, for this drama is more on a serious note—romantic + serious note. FL here doesn’t have too much expression at the beginning few episodes but thankfully all that picked up later on as the chemistry builds up. Probably it matches her character since she was being bullied in the beginning so can’t be too expressive persona.

Anyways, thanks for having pointed out tht “If you love "Splash Splash Love"... and yes, SSL was great?? to watch ^^

Being a fanatic on time traveler genre, I chanced upon this web drama and totally excited abt it. However, the beginning part wasn’t as captivating for me—not too sure if it’s bcos of how the background story evolves or due to lack of chemistry during the beginning first few episodes (actually I fast forward some of the scenes—I do think maybe the editing is too lengthy for a web drama, could’ve cut away those many repetition and use the time to build more background story for other supporting roles.) Thankfully I decided to followed on and indeed soon after ML & FL’s chemistry got better and their expressions are surprisingly good towards the ending few episodes.

Chani I’ve only watched him playing one short part in True Beauty and yet his smile and acting somewhat makes me think how can such good actor had a role tht ended so fast in the drama; so glad to see him playing ML here.

The ending is also good—I mean we can’t be too realistic or hoping for deep facts support on time traveling scripts for web drama length and this one works pretty well for me—and it did made me feel good at the end of it (I watched it on one of my bad day, really, and it worked fine to boost my mood!)

Watch this if you’re someone who likes a light weighted romance story—I just ended the heavy drama, Vincenzo, so this is a good relaxing one for me. Happy watching ^^

I really like the way you put it. The lighter was object that illustrated the characters and their relationships.…
wow I think what you wrote somehow explains why this short clip/ web drama is kinda deep. sounds interesting to be watch during the night to get into the mood of it. Thanks for sharing.

may I know if there’s any version with English subtitles?
Thanks for your prompt reply. Actually I thot it’s a link for the full movie : ) But it’s okay, will just wait for the official release in my country.

I’ve watched a few adaption of this movie (US, Korea, China) and really hope can watch this latest Japanese version as well.

I feel every version have their own special addition of culture, norms and society values (based on respective production house’s country of make) which makes it even more interesting to watch, apart from the already good plotline : ) Anyone if having the original Italian version (sadly haven’t get to watch this yet!) and Japanese version with English subtitles can please share ya? Thanks ^^

Title My Best Summer Spoiler
This is a beautiful love told. IMHO the setup is during younger schooling time, hence maybe why it somewhat draws similarity to Our Times (OT). However to me it isn’t quite the same, as OT is much more entertaining maybe bcos there’s some humour in it while this story unfolds in a more on serious mood.

However, I do think both main leads have a good chemistry together (I’ve checked she’s 20yrs old & he’s 19yrs old during filming time) so probably it’s closer to their schooling years and easier to bring out their memories into the act—I mean if the main leads are, let’s say, 28yrs old then could be a bigger challenge to act it out as schooling kids, such as Michelle Chen Yanxi good acting (back then I really didn’t realize she’s at least 10yrs+ older than her movie character!) in You’re the Apple of my Eyes.

This movie brings out the WHAT IFs in life and probably anyone who had went through formal education system can easier resonate with it as well. Sidetrack a bit, I do have a close friend who’s quite similar real life experience—which triggers out the feelings as I watch this—my friend managed to strive hard in studies (so happen she’s also not an exam scorer—keep failing—and he coached her just like this movie...aww) during college (hers was during college years instead of this movie high school), and then managed to proceed for university abroad with him-back then guy best friend-cum-deskmate and they become lovers and really ended up married (during reunions we always tease them being school sweethearts :p) But alas, apparently ‘happily ever after’ in movies could be quite different in real life bcos recently I just heard my close friend is having some marital issues. Hope they will be okay soon.

This movie is highly recommended to watch if you may like reminiscing childhood sweet moments and/ or could haves childhood love. Having watched this, it does bring out a meaningful & positive hope for every couple to work together in resolving conflict to save relationships. : )

The sad thing about this movie, you know they're just going to break up... 7 years of no communication... Girl…
Perhaps the director wants the movie to end on a happier note with the message that love can overcome barriers and obstacles in life : ) Just like how the classic Cinderella & Prince ‘lives happy ever after’. (and it just full stops there and then—as though life will be perfectly fine thereafter).

Title Was It Love? Spoiler
I’m stuck at Episode 10 nw and can’t seem to find the reason to carry on. TBH, this is one of the very rare occasions whn I feel like just dropping off a Kdrama (I usually will try to stay on a little while and sometimes press on till the end of the whole drama—even fast forward if I need to skip fast—as will surely end the entire drama drama hoping there’s something good tht I can have some ‘positive takeaways’). But this drama makes me feel tiresome after watching.

Pls don’t get me wrong, I’m actually a fan of Song Ji Hyo and watched most of her creative works and even Son Ho Jun—his performance was good in Go Back Couple so initially was happy to knw it’s him here. But in here, ended up I’m nt sure if it’s the script issue or the whole setting, this drama feels draggy...I know the topic is so self-explanatory on seeking the real love, and the title ‘Was It Love’ practically tells it all. But it intrigued me as to why does the director/ script writer/ producers need to keep dwelling on the same concern—who’s the child’s father, why did ML left FL...entire episodes (I’m already 10 of 16) only on this plotline, isn’t it too weak for a span of 16 episodes, seriously??!

I’m kinda disappointed with this drama. It started well, promising (and somewhat creating a ‘guesstimate feel‘—yea, who’s the dad really...) but towards the middle, it feels less exciting and worsen off, my anticipation went downhill thereafter (I’m getting tired of waiting to know who’s the dad and FL’s consistent attempt to avoid/ escape from facing her own inner feelings towards ML makes it more draggy!)

Nt sure if this is just me or is anyone else having the same thoughts as I do...lol

Title Once Again Spoiler
This is my 2nd attempt to watch this movie and finally I succeeded to complete it! I knew it wld be a feel good movie, which is why when I chanced upon it on YT I decided to try watching it again. Suddenly I remembered how my 1st attempt when I tried to search for the FL (Athena Chu)’s first movie after her acting hiatus of 6yrs and found this. It wasn’t appealing to me at tht time bcos if nt mistaken, I’ve just fast fwd to her dance with the younger ML out of curiosity on her dancing skills, but somehow it didn’t click with what I had in mind for this movie and I just skipped it. Maybe there was a many movies & dramas of this genre or topic of such transformation back to youth self (e.g. Korean 1st version—Miss Granny in 2014 and China version—20 Once Again in 2015) which I think fair much better than this movie.

Overall this is a good watch over the weekend if you’re looking for something feel good with meaning to life. ML is feeling dreadful of his own life path and living with regrets, thus magically he’s transformed (ok, get ready as we can never use too much logic in such scripts!) back to his youthful looking self and have second chance to chase after his dancing dream.

Based on my many versions of watching such genre/ topic (oops, surely there’s somewhat comparison to understand better) this movie version does have some lacking in terms of the younger ML’s acting. TBH, the older ML has better expression on most emotions and handles well in acting out the complexity of his feelings. Whereas, younger ML having some restriction in certain scenes when I’m about to feel with his character, it just got stuck there and then I can’t cry/ sob along with his portrayed character. Maybe bcos he’s really not as experienced as the older ML but alas, in this world of ‘face & first impression comes first’ the younger ML does have more selling point to be cast as ML for us audience to anticipate and hoping for more—IMHO his entire acting here is almost 70% overtaken by his good looks which works well with his dance moves.

Athena Chu’s acting is quite the same as I could last remember her of and she’s still as beautiful and aged gracefully for a 46yrs old woman (this is her age at time of movie). And one important credit for the movie director is the scenes where she as FL kissing younger ML does seem awkward at all (some who may dislike May-September romance will probably feel better in this movie directing) as most times when they are together the director had added some CGI touches or somewhat effect enhancement to make it less irritable to whoever who may irks it. But then again, the script is abt a transformed man to younger and not promoting May-September affairs so there’s no reason to be unpleasant with watching it.

I went with the flow of this movie (without any fast forwarding) this time and it is rewarding as it brings a good heart warming message at the end of it. And if you are someone who somehow happen to ponder on relationships and how life cld be different if we took a different path, watch this and enjoy! : )

Does she get divorced and then find a younger guy? I'm confused by the synopsis.
Nope she didn’t get a divorce as she’s still in love with her husband (regardless whether is the older version of him or the handsome younger version of him, as it is still the same person!)

By the way, the younger guy is the younger version of her husband (who somehow got magically transformed to his youthful looking, right after he dreaded his current life path).

thanks but the link is broken :’( any idea where else can watch this pls??
@ Tammy, thank you you so much for sharing this link (didn’t know dramacool changed to new site, no wonder couldn’t locate it!)

I’m a fan of Kenji Wu’s songs but haven’t really watched a movie starring himself before this. This movie is a pleasant rom-com. However I didn’t quite get the ending despite I’ve been watching many time travel, parallel world genres. Was the 1st part of the movie his imagination or hallucination? Bcos in the ending he’s holding onto the mini handheld recording device (which usually when time travel can’t bring any items along) so it means the ending world shd be the reality world he’s in. If such, how come beginning & ending he’s talking to the nurse abt time traveling but later (ending part) he debunk his own idea by saying where got so many time traveling in this world. So did he time travel or not? Or it’s just his story script he’s sharing all along. If such, why he keep ending up in hospital...I’m confused. Hope to hear your point of view. Thanking in advance.

On Royal Kitchen in Qing Dynasty Feb 22, 2021
Just chance upon this entry as a movie here. Actually this is something like a web drama/ short film sorta project, resulting from a program show in China (演技派, loosely translated to mean ‘Real Actor’), which you can try search in YouTube using the mandarin words.

So groups of candidates/ participants who are actress(es) & actors will take up short presentations in their respective groupings. Whoever who performed well during this program will then be selected by the teachers/ mentors (who are also top actress & actors in the entertainment industry) to participate in the short film/ movie/ web drama. They will also be reviewed on each scenes they acted out. And in the end, all these scenes are joined up together into this short film that we all can watch, just like this one namely, Royal Kitchen in Qing Dynasty.

In a way or rather, I do think this is like an open casting platform where all of them get to see how each other perform and in the end get selected into the production with a character to play on.

I especially like how the mentors/ teachers who gave guidance on their acting skills...so this is more like a backstage thingy if you guys may like to watch how production house does it. Just thought of sharing this info here as I find there’s many other on stage performances by these actors & actresses tht worth watching & seeing how their hardwork and effort along the way. ^^
