I'm not talking about the rating. I mean the age of the characters. A show that will focus heavily on sexual relationships and encounters, isn't something I want to told from the perspective of teenagers. But, again, I understand that's my personal belief. I'm not judging at all.
"When sex brings mysteries needed to be solved, a group of friends go explore the wicked world of teenagers, expose shady business and discover their deepest darkest desires through chaotic sex and relationships."
I just saw their Twitter post and they said they were "teenagers" and I am truly hoping that's a typo or translation error. Because if that's the case, I won't be watching. I am not making any judgments if it is because I'm coming from a western perspective, and I know and understand Thai culture is different, but that's not something I could support.
Ok, unpopular opinion: I absolutely LOVE the pacing of this series. I actually do not want it to end. My annoyances are with the characters and a bit of the story not making sense.
Arthit is evil. I mean, actually evil. Being upset your brother is pushing up on your "girlfriend" does warrant anger. But the lengths he's going to quite literally ruin Than is a lot. And 11 episodes in and his full memory isn't back yet doesn't really make sense. Also, this level of hatred he has for Than, and apparently his father too, needs to be explained. Personally, I think he secretly resents his day for loving Than.
Meena: I have a love/hate relationship with her. She's aloof and annoying at times. At other times, I love her. There is no reason for her to have not already told Than the truth. ESPECIALLY after her attempted gRape. Her best friend is no actual help at all. But I love them together.
Alan: Send him back to Nuengdiao because he adds nothing to this show. I love him though. He storyline is just pointless.
I started this series because of all the negative reviews (I wanted to see for myself). I was ALL IN and, to me, everything fell apart in episode 9.
Nothing made sense anymore. I didn't understand how much time was passing. I still don't fully understand Pat's relationship with Ae. Pat is supposed to be 25, right? But he's constantly being handled like a child and acts like one! He's an emotionally stunted, insufferable, immature, entitled man-child who doesn't seem to understand that his actions have consequences or the world around him. I am unsure if this is amazing writing and acting or the opposite.
And after this week's episode, I am glad this trainwreck is nearly over. And I was IN LOVE with the series for 8 entire episodes.
Ok, I was left crying this episode. Arthit is an terrible, horrible person. And so is their mother. You kick Than out of the funeral, then get upset that he isn't at the cremation?! I truly, honestly hope that Cathy chooses to end this charade and leave Arthit alone after seeing just how terrible of a person he is.
Now Meena, I know how all of you feel, but I like her. Lol. Yes, she's annoying. Yes, she should have opened her mouth a LONG time ago, but I love her character. But this episode left me truly heartbroken. Than hasn't done anything to anyone and they all hate him for existing. No one is sticking up for him.
I kind of want them to end Alan's side story. It adds no depth to the overall plot.
I am definitely in the minority here, but I wasn't the biggest fan of Build. I just don't want this project cancelled because Bible deserves everything! No one even considered how the Build drama indirectly affected Bible negatively. I want nothing but the best for Bible.
