I am so incredibly happy Shone is done. I didn't like it. The "triangle" wasn't necessary. Moo and Kang are just so ridiculously cute! Just watching this all play out is so entertaining and relaxing. I love this show so much.
This is an amazing romcom for the younger, queer audience. Adding a love triangle, ESPECIALLY with family, is completely and totally unnecessary and absurd. That type of drama is not needed for the age range of these characters. It needs to be addressed and resolved in one episode. And I never want to hear about it again.
It just hit me! Did any of you watch 609 Bedtime Story with OhmFluke? Is this show by the same director? Because Dee's room number is 609. and the colorful decor is the same as that show!
1. The emotional trauma. We saw a glimpse of why Dee is emotionally, and possibly sexually, repressed this episode. His emotional walls are UP! Yoryak craves to be accepted as he is. I think we may get a little deeper into this bisexuality in the coming weeks. And possibly a sexuality struggle? Dee saying, "play with it a little longer", in my opinion, wasn't just surface level. There's more to that. I just KNOW IT.
2. The vulnerability. These two men need someone they can be ALL OF THEMSELVES with. The actors are pulling off their roles so well. We see the yearning. The second guessing. The foundation for their personalities and pasts are being laid and I must give the writers and directors their roses.
3. I am in love with Oye and Cher. I want more of them.
4. I need them to dive into Plakao. I just know they are going to do "Ace" justice after seeing these first two episodes.
5. Yoryak is going to be hurt by Dee. Dee is emotionally immature. But so is Yoryak. He won't say wants on his mind and will deal with the hurt. That's just my prediction
This show is shaping up to be a great ride. There is definitely some depth here. And the chemistry and attractiveness of the characters has be begging for more.
As an elder millennial I must say something. This series is so very refreshing! Seeing a show geared towards a younger, queer audience as they navigate high school and love that's so positive and engaging fills my heart with such joy. And for this series to be so well-written and the acting to be so good, I am almost in tears because I am so emotional. I love this for the the younger generation. And I simply LOVE this show.
First, I am here for this series! I am hooked! Now, onto my random thoughts that don't actually mean anything 😂
1. Why is there ALWAYS an age gap? Yoyak is in college. While, yes, we don't exactly know his age. And he could still in college late in life. But as of episode one, it is implied. It doesn't matter because it appears that he's at least 21. But still.
2. Can we address how unethical it is for Dee to be publicly intoxicated as a medical professional. And how unethical, and potentially illegal, it is to be sleeping with a patient?! 😂😂😂
3. I really hope they explore Plakao being Ace in an educational way and positive way. I don't want him to just "change his mind because he found someone he feels comfortable with."
4. I hope we get more of Pod. I love him so much and he gets the least amount of exposure, in my opinion. He is so beautiful and such a great actor.
Either way, this series started off really well and I am super excited to watch.
Ok, I'm going to leave my actual review after this post, but what show were Dee and Yoyak watching? Was it Only Friends? Because that was definitely First and Khaotung on the tv! 😂😂ðŸ˜
THIS! THIS is what I've been waiting for. An adult drama with an adult storyline. I am so excited for this. And seeing that Pod's in this is a plus. I hoped this turn out to be very good. We need more dramas geared towards an older audience.
If you don't believe her to be a bad actress, how are you saying she's "overrated"? You may be meaning to use a different word. But, either way, it's your opinion and I engaged with you. So, thanks.
hmmm, I guess that's just a personal opinion. She's a great actress. She's great in every role she's in. She has a job and is doing it well. That wouldn't be "overrated".
