I am not yet sure how I feel about this. I'll give it one more episode before I give an honest review. I will say this, Off and Gun are powerhouse actors. They deserve shows with substance. I hope this is one of them.
Personal Feelings: I genuinely do not like Sea, as an actor. That is the only thing I dislike about the series so far.
I'm not going to drop it because I'm 4 episodes in, but this isn't memorable. Because I know they they are both amazing actors, I'm going to say the awkwardness and "overacting" is intentional. It's cute, but lacks any depth. I HATE to be this person, but the whole episode I couldn't help but think about How Keen and Sea would have been better casted for this series. Hopefully Gemini and Forth have a better series coming out soon. But this isn't bad, at all. It's just... lacking
GemForth deserved a better follow up series to MSP. I'm not dropping it yet because it isn't bad, it just hasn't grabbed my attention the way I'd hope it would. After finding out this is a JP remake, the character's personalities make sense. I'm just not sold on the execution so far. Because we've seen Gem and Forth carry two series, I'm going to give this another episode or two. I just didn't think it would be MSP 2
I can honestly say that I absolutely LOVED this show. I am happy we got something new and fresh from GMMTV. Sea and Keen are about to be the next big thing and I can't wait to watch their continued rise!
Now, on to the show. I do not/did not like Shone. There is absolutely nothing anyone can say to redeem him for me. He knew the ONLY reason Moo and Kang broke up was because of Moo being an idol. It wasn't like they had issues within their relationship. And, on top of all of that, they are cousins. That was dirty and I did not like him. Granted, I dislike Force and Book respectively, but still. I hated Shone's character. He was not needed in this show.
The final episode was just meant to tie up loose ends and give a happy ending, and to that I say, BRAVO! I am so happy we got this cute and fluffy series. It had just enough cutesy, balanced with just enough plot and substance to make this a winner! see you guys on our next show! You all were great!
Just dropping in to say that you guys can NEVER make me hate or dislike this show. All your little unnecessary critiques, small aggravations, and harsh reviews mean nothing to me. I have been giddy since day one. Love Love LOVE this show!
Shone is Kang's cousin. He intentionally flirted with his cousin's ex KNOWING the only reason he's available because they told him. He's a terrible person and needs to leave this show
A chaste peck is not problemmatic with someone who is trying to kiss you in his sleep who has basically just expressed…
It was nonconsensual. You, as well as others pointed out that Tae was not asleep. I understand and accept that. However, he was kissed under the impression that he was asleep. Which means consent was not given. I am sorry that you believe consent is something ppl are "too hung up" on.
I just went back and all of you are correct. The issue for consent, for me, still remains. Payos didn't know Tae was awake. He believed him to be asleep.
I do not like Book! I've wanted him gone from the first moment he appeared on the screen. I might be biased, but I have never liked him in any show I've seen him in.
I was very uncomfortable with that kissing scene. And I am perfectly fine being corrected, but wasn't Tae asleep? Which means the kiss was nonconsensual? Inappropriate.
Shone consistently trying to hit on Kang, knowing the reason he's single, whether he's being playful or not, was just in very bad taste. It just makes his character unredeemable to me. I still do not know how to take Jang. It's like, he hasn't actually done anything wrong, but they make it seems like he's a villain.
This was such a heavy episode unnecessarily. And don't get me wrong, I LOVED it, minus the presumed nonconsensual scene... But this was so much drama that I feel wasn't necessary.
This episode is one of the best, for me, so far. Great is a pretty good actor. But I think the serious scenes show just how "great" of an actor he is. He hasn't found his footing for the comedy scenes, in my opinion. They are still good, but he shines in serious moments and roles. Nonetheless, this was an amazing episode!
I hope we get at least one more scene with L**e. I love him so much. He's not the best actor, but he's fun to look atπ
Also, I am a bit let down because I really wanted them to explore Plakao's character. Telling us that he's Ace, then doing nothing with it is a bit disheartening. And on top of that, he's a phycologist?! They can do SO MUCH with this character. All in all, I am loving this series so much! I appreciate GMM for giving us this drama.
I was waiting to finish episode two before I commented. I'm sold. This isn't going to be a show with much substance. No need for the thinkpieces. This is just meant to be a cutesy little drama. Don't come into this with high expectations. Just enjoy seeing Gem and Fort back on the screen. I'm sure their next drama will be a bit... more.
I am SOOOO in love with this show. The emotional manipulation is finally showing itself with Dee. We knew it was coming. Yoryak has already fallen for Dee. Let's see how this plays out. I absolutely NEED more backstory of Plakao. Also, did anyone notice Cher's sock collection?? He is always in socks and they are soooo cute. I am completely SAT for this entire series !
