This series was absolutely perfect! I have nothing negative to say! From beginning to end. The acting. The cinematography. The pacing. Every single moment of this series was perfect. Even the little things. I LOVE that they stayed true to grandmother's character in the end. To and for me, there hasn't been a GMM show that I've loved this much in a VERY long time.
PS: It is officially time to give AouBoom their own series. Their chemistry and acting abilities are undeniable. They nearly carried this show.
PPS: If you don't like period pieces, this won't be the show for you. It's just that simple. No need to over explain your dislike of the show. Period pieces all follow the same formula of pacing and storytelling. Also, and this may not apply to all, I've noticed that many often dislike the more adult themed BLs and LGBT stories. That's no hate to anyone who does, but I've noticed that.
Is this another disapointment from Gmmtv or its good?
Questions like this really upset me. If you're interested, watch. If not, don't. no need to comment looking for others approval. Decide for yourself and let those of us watching the show share our feedback.
I didn't dislike the first episode. Actually, I quite enjoyed it. My only hope is that it is much MUCH darker than My Golden Blood. I dropped that because it was advertised as this dark drama, just to be yet another run of the mill university drama. This looks promising. Despite the random comedy. I really want this to be good because I want to support BounPrem.
Ok, 14 days later and I'm finished. Overall, this was a cute series. First time seeing a KristSingto series and I wasn't disappointed. The acting, from everyone, was great! My only complaints are with the story.
1. Tam still has no redeeming qualities. Nothing about him was worth going back to. He left for a reason he felt was justified (it wasn't). Then came back trying to act as if everything was fine, KNOWING he was the reason for the break up. He was a terrible person and partner. Especially to later find out that his mother had all this hatred for Phi for what felt like no reason.
2. Yong: Him being 39, and the boss, intentionally going after those college aged girls and his underlings just didn't sit well with me.
3. Paul: His entire arc was unnecessary. Don't get me wrong, I will scream, "P'Deeaaannnn!!" every chance I get because I LOVE Ohm. But that drama was unnecessary for the furthering of the plot.
4. And finally, the GL couple was WEIRD to me. You broke off an engagement to a guy to later fall for his significantly younger sister who you used to tutor?!! ABSOLUTELY NOT! I did not like the story going in that direction at all!
5. Phi: Going back to Tam made no sense. Tam never a ctually told him why he left. After 4/5 years together, not trusting Phi enough to have the conversation was definitely grounds for never speaking again. Phi was entirely too forgiving. He deserved so much better. He got what he deserved and learned. But the plot acted as if he was the villain.
HOWEVER, I truly enjoyed the series. It wasn't your run of the mill university drama. It explored some adult-themes and I can respect that. The acting was great all around and it was cute. I'm giving the series and 8/10.
Just started watching this and I am on episode 5. I've never seen SOTUS, but I've seen Krist and Singto separately and love them so I'm giving this a try. So far I'm liking the series. Tam has absolutely no redeeming qualities as of now. They really made Phi out to be this terrible, horrible person but the truth is he's hurt. Tam is so damn selfish it hurts. Hopes his character gets some development. But I'll keep watching until it becomes too much.
I want to start by saying this, I have absolutely no issues with seeing sex onscreen. I am an adult and honestly, sometimes I prefer it. But there is something to be said about a director's vision to portray the essence of a sexual encounter and intimacy without actually showing the act of sex itself, that is so very masterful. Rati and Tee in the bed scene was pure chemistry and intimacy. It was so very beautiful and emotional. I loved every single minute of it. The same with Mek and Dech. Just a beautifully done scene.
HOWEVER, the homophobia of the next episode already seems too much. I don't want to be sad in that way.
I wanted to wait to start this until a good number of episodes were out first. Just binged. I am in LOVE! I cried! Also, I am now an AouBoom fan! I always been a Boom fan because he's one of the best actors on the GMM roster, in my opinion, but this is the first time AouBoom has made me scream like this!! Also, the final shot in the WATER?!!! The director had a beautiful vision and it was executed flawlessly!
I had to write this before I finished the first episode. There isn't a non-BL Off show that I didn't like and wasn't amazing! 5 minutes in and I'm hooked! I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, ships stifle artist's creativity. Off SHINES in comedies and it's not a typical romance. He deserves so much more! ok, leaving to finish the first episodeπ
Re: Ozone. It's good.I'll just quote what I replied in another thread:> there's nothing about Ozone that was a…
I wasn't being rude. I thanked for your response. I appreciate you reading, but I wasn't necessarily interested in a dialogue. I just wanted to share my thoughts.
First off, ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SHOW! The acting for most of them is amazing. Now, on to my show complaints.
There is no reason Matmi/Dream should be acting like this. They needed to give her a more mature script. It's annoying and reminds me of My Love Mix Up too much. Her character acting this clueless/aloof doesn't add to this story.
It makes no sense that Night is rude to Day. You hit MY cousin with your car. Why on earth are you being rude with me for? ESPECIALLY in the hospital! Ozone is here because of you! Day should have punched him!
Gun's acting is AMAZING! However, I question his reference material for this role. Imo, his particular portrayal of "autism" is kinda all over the place. Nothing to do with Gun! Because, as always, he is killing this role. That's what 20+ years of acting looks like. I'm just often confused on his presentation.
I'm going to get a LOT of hate for this, but need the PondPhuwin ship to officially end so Pond can continue to get roles like this. Beside a seasoned actor like Gun, we see just how much of a talented actor he is. The ship stifles his abilities. Pond is a beast at this. I am loving watching him so much. And the director is making sure to give us CONSTANT close-ups of his face and that jawline! Love it! ππ
Overall, I am completely hooked. This is the level of drama/Thriller I'd hoped for from Golden Blood. I need this show to maintain it's momentum because this can only get better!
I knoooow right!! I was thinking just the same thing about Gawin's character. I didn't expect much of this serie…
YES! NOEUL! That's exactly what I'm getting. And, like you said, we KNOW Gawin can act, and we'll. Which means this is the direction he was given for his character. And that means he's doing a great job. lol
