After two episodes the ratings on Viki is are very low. Not sure about this one.

At some point the stories about the life of rich - CEOs, chaebols, conglomerates, heiresses and chairmen just become uninteresting. They have the smell of telenovelas all over them. And even the best directing and performance can’t save us from predictability and boredom.

Then they will concentrate on the revenge part I guess. Romance part of story in Japanese dramas is usually pretty infantile or robotic.

I loved Korean She was pretty, it was super fun, whereas Japanese version was completely forgettable

FL is not acting alone and she is in 90% of scenes. There is such thing as chemistry. Cinema is subjective in general that is why the ratings are the only reference point.

Good for you if you find this kind of acting satisfying. However, the ratings that this drama has at the moment are low compared to other similar historical dramas - they are far cry from The Red Sleeve or The Dearest and I bet it has something to do with the acting.

Surprised to see that many others are of the same opinion about the FL as I am. I thought I was just nitpicking. I think she is saying all her lines with the same emotion, at the same voice volume level. Aren’t we supposed to express our emotions with our voice level, with our words? All her scenes are the same…What does she feel towards the King? Does she feel anything towards anybody? Why, or why she is like that…this drama is so good otherwise ((

This is an awful message for the young actors and young people in general. To put your body through this for the sake of drama, to risk your health like this… Yeah, what people can do for the money and careers..

Is there a romance or it is just a serious drama? I can’t find reasons to watch it except the cast looks extremely good.

I really disliked her in Hospital Playlist, I thought she was sort of bland, flat. She redeemed herself in Reborn Rich, she was more interesting there. I guess it is hit or miss with her.

Did you watch the 1995 series? Where? I can only find a very bad version online.

Stole? Do you know how those Kdramas are made? Disney is co-producing them, very often providing for CGI and production studios. They are made with Disney’ money. Also - those are Disney Korea money. And without this co-production this drama would not exist.
