For this role he’s actually supposed to look sickly because they’ve held him captive…he’s been losing weight for the role.
But, Bai Lu is also probably feeding him tons - so by the end of filming he should be back to normal🥰

As an international fan I am always shocked by the hateful things that are said.
BaiLu is not just an amazing actress, but she’s genuinely kind. I’m thankful to have enjoyed her in so many dramas and may she be blessed with all the happiness and love.

I know, and also agree, understand, AND support ShiYi with ZSC…just expressing that I wasn’t expecting to also want to root for the2nd lead 😅

So, 2nd lead syndrome has never been my thing, and I know Xei Meng is making up for misdeeds in his past life, BUT… I feel an ache of loss for ShiYi in this lifetime - they have soooo much in common and as I watch them, it makes me think of the part of the novel where ShiYi questions her love for ZSC - wondering if it’s real or based on past memories.
I’m a bit confused that I feel this way so far along in the show. Because while I do love the slow burn of the leads, the few interactions ShiYi and XM have feel so full of spark. 😅
That’s it - my rant for the day.

I’m wondering if a part of the intimacy in OnO and what makes it great is/
1. Bai Lu and Ren had already shot F&E
2. The side characters in OnO mesh really well AND spend a lot of time together - so we the audience don’t depend solely on the leads, and;
3. Different directors - OnO director (Guo Hu) has done Love & Destiny, Love Lost In Times, Love O2O, Eternal Love to name a few…while this one(Shen Yang) had only done: Love Designer and Renascene before F&E 😬

So, this may not be a popular opinion, but…
I.LOVE.THEM!!!
When I read the comments sometimes it feels like everyone wants only one way for love to be shown - ex. BaiLu’s LIS kisses (I was not impressed, but rather very uncomfortable…unlike her The Legends kisses).
Another is it feels like many forget that books are OVER descriptive because they HAVE to be - what the show has done (in my humble opinion) is bring the level of intimacy they had in OnO to F&E that also stays true to each of their original souls, when only one half remembers the past - no easy task.
Just like ZSC wasn’t written in the past to be passionate and rash, this part carries over in the modern portion using his career as a scientist to explain it.
As a researcher/data scientist who is also an introvert like him, he’s completely living up to my expectations. In fact, I would say he’s exceeding them. Good sex scenes are ones that make you feel shy watching even when ‘nothing’ is happening and good sex is about the right mood: touching hair, kissing shoulders, kissing foreheads, back hugs, providing privacy for your girl by not overstepping in public - I could go on.
ZCS is showing that he cares for SY beyond the physicality, but for her ‘beautiful bones’ by paying attention to ALL that makes her SY - this is what outlasts the initial frenzied passion of love - this foundation built on him watching her and learning what’s on the inside.
Quite sexy of both of them, and I’m here for it, and have mad respect that the writer was bold enough to take the time to show this measured pace so that we can see how they get to this binding and timeless love.

Thank you for mentioning this!!! We should keep posting it. I’d completed my review at episode 4, and just went back to make it 24 episodes watched and the number went up (probably because many of us are doing it) - thank you again for posting that🙏🏽☺️

Just realized that all episodes have an individual score - maybe this is factored into the overall score, so if you haven’t filled each one in, it lowers the cumulative score. I went in and made sure the 10 score I gave is input for each episode.

I too think it is odd the number only gets lower…I have some thoughts, but am staying polite and hopeful it will improve.
