First - I think they ALL dramas have things hat don’t make sense when we look at actions thru the lens of human emotion.
If we look instead and think about how many of us were in our younger years - sheltered to the ways of the world ,filled with bravado, and a tad fearless, then this character is perfectly normal…unless you’re not that type of person.
BaiLu tends to take on roles that push boundaries and lives characters that are free spirited and low key rebellious (usually in a good way).
Thus, logical depends on the context (unless it’s math, and even then, there are times where this isn’t true 😉).
Bailu has a lot of competitors so thier fans will work so hard to make the score down even without watching the…

I’m thinking that it’s more than a plot move, but rather THE plot per se. She chose killing, rather than kindness - so we can ascertain that while she had this power, she’s also learning about herself: who she was, who she wants to be for her father, and who she’ll ultimately become. It feels nuanced and layered and her not being able to get thru at first made sense made sense to me.

It has already begun … I see so many other dramas with a lot of positive comments that have no votes early on - yet 24hr in, it’s at 8.4😒 But, I promised myself as a BaiLu fan to let it ride and only send out positive vibes and prayers for goodness to come her way. 🥰
One of the things I committed to after a certain male leads fans dragged our girl into a bad emotional space (right before love is sweet), is SUPPORT HER 💯! This includes the males leads she’s chosen of tasked to work with. She seems comfortable w/ him and he’s been nothing but kind. May we send the entire cast and team only good thoughts and a successful run.🥰
