Me toooooo when they took pics together at a GQ event a few years ago, then the year after, and last year they came in together on a boat - I knew a drama was in the works and I really like him as well. Ready for the sparks to FLY.🤭

They are also in the drama One and Only together (they’re in the same company and their boss uses his high traffic female actresses to promote his male actors careers.😅

I read on Weibo that what made this drama so successful was that it brought many young people to watch a somewhat serious drama - which isn’t common in thinking.
Six Sisters was also popular across age groups and might be why it’s also at the top - but this is just a guess.

I’ve been a BaiLu fan since “The King Is Not Easy” and haven’t looked back.
So, I really like and appreciate your well thought out review.
That said, I also DO NOT like TSOKP either🤔 Her performance is good as usual, but it’s almost as if they stripped her character of the the things that made her amazing and then added weak lead male costars (…please, please don’t come for me in the comments - only WY is on par w/ BaiLu’s ability to get into character) - making it feel like a hot mess.
BaiLu is an amazing actress, but a weak team, script, and directing makes for little shine.

I've been so frustrated with Wanghe, but you’re right - real love has struggles, isn’t always pretty, and has layers as we grow.
So, while I’ve really been enjoying all of it, I hadn’t been sold on WH for Fenghua. Now however, I think I may need to go back and watch from the beginning to catch all of the good nuggets you’ve described and see them with different eyes.

I’m so sorry! I’m Creole and in the U.S. my mother always told me I had a big nose and lips, and I was always compared to my beautiful sister. Cruel mothers are in all cultures. 😅
Now as an adult, I have learned to set aside what others said and instead am a lot like FengHua who finds her own way.
