Ikr? He is the one who is going to harm CK but kept using his authority to nag at HR not to meet her... like anyone…
Well, I think he made it obvious with the game of Go, as it was a board made for blind people. And his question about Ma Wang... yeah, he pretty much went with "screw subtlety".
Finished the series recently. Gave it a 7/10 overall, for a few reasons.
The story-length. To be honest, I don't think they needed to drag the story out with 24 episodes, because while things were happening, you still got the feeling that nothing was happening, which cannot be blamed on the length of the episodes as I've seen others with same time frame or even longer that was more interesting than this. 15-20 episodes would've been more than sufficient and made the series overall more compelling.
The Hypocrite and Selfrighteous pair, also known as SMLs. Since we're seeing things from a different POV than the smls, I'm aware the SFL (the hypocrite) had a reason for being what she was. Understanding that, however, doesn't make her actions or character more tolerable. If I'd rated the series only for her, it would've been a 5 (if I was feeling generous).
The selfrighteous SML. Where do I start with this one? So, it turns out that everything he did was based on a "lie" that his father could've cleared up years ago. Well, whoopdedoo, who didn't see that one coming? Tbh, I think I'd prefered if he'd remained unapologetic/evil to the very end. At least it would've made his character less pitiful.
Some of the things that I liked about the series: The ML and the Queen. I don't feel like elaborating on that, though.
I don't hink it's likely I'll rewatch this series, but might go back for the favorite scenes. ^^
boring. new world maker is way better. dont waste time on this, go watch new world maker. china just like to copy
Those of us who do like this series, would most likely disagree with you.
In what way would NWM be a better alternative, in your opinion? Have read the synopsis, but can't tell what similarities/differences there would be. Also, that show is still airing?
Was just about to hit the sack, and *now* I discover this series... T.T Well, at least I'll have something to look forward to wake up to in the morning. ;)
yeah it's easy to forget to watch it as it's a short drama, but it's also easy to watch it right away to because…
Yeah. ^^ Have already finished it, and while it doesn't really need more episodes since the story was wrapped up nicely enough and all, I still crave more episodes. xD Thought I would enjoy the series, but kinda underestimated just how much. So, was a rather pleasant surprise, lol.
Had added this to my ptw-list but forgotten about it... 'til now when I saw your article. So tysm for the reminder, and for an article that once again serves to peak one's interest (have read several of yours though not always commented on them). ^^
if you have a viki pass (they do have a 7 days free trial), it is available on rakuten viki.https://www.viki.com/tv/38011c-the-great-shaman-ga-doo-shimNote…
hello again. have just checked the watchasian/dramacool website, and it seems they have uploaded the ep 11 now as well. thought to mention it, if you'd prefer to watch it there.

You don't have to pay for a renewal as long as you cancel the plan before the date mentioned. the free trial only works once per e-mail adress though.
Even with last week without new episodes, I don't find ep 7-8 slow.Like already mentioned, things so far happened…
Yeah, same here. I was like, what episode is over already...? xD Which is funny when they're approx 1 hr each, and some dramas with only 20-30 mins can feel like an eternity.
A slow paced drama isn't necessarily a bad thing if it's done well :) I feel like one really needs to be invested…
