Total waste of time. Her rebirth ended up being for nothing. She still goes back to the man who killed her father, secretly drugged her to make her infertile, kept another woman on the side and even caused bullies to attack her to save that woman
Has anyone read the novel? The synopsis says she faked her death and ran away to save others while they were in love. Who’s the other person? I hope it’s not a story where she just outright abandons him when he needs her. This is my most anticipated cdrama ever
As someone who has followed the Chinese entertainment industry for quite a long time, I have to say this isn’t…
This is what I keep thinking. In the beginning, I thought he was new but now he’s quite established. So why does he still get less screen time in his dramas? In the drama before this one, it was almost like a cameo. Still, he’s shining and gaining popularity
As someone who read the novel, the plot is more like HL than TFF, mainly because the ML is the one suffering and…
From your spoiler, it doesn’t sound like the kind of ghosting that gets irritating. I’m curious how it will come across on screen. In TFF, I was okay with the female lead leaving the male lead the first time since it was part of the plot but the second time was too irritating for me. I’m just hoping it doesn’t turn into something like TFF, where a character runs away whenever it’s inconvenient. I’m hoping it has more of HL’s vibe instead
Off topic, but since you have Lu Yuxiao in your dp, I wanted to ask about a drama. I’m not completely sure but I think she was in a scene I saw in a reel. It was set in a school and a guy asked the girl if she liked him. She said no but she loved him. Do you know which drama that is?
Does this story have more of the vibes of HL or TFF? I saw some past trauma mentioned in the synopsis. Are there multiple instances of ghosting in the drama? I hope someone who’s read the novel can answer pls
I started watching without reading the synopsis and was so confused at the beginning about what was going on. It got a bit better later but overall the plot was still pretty wack. I still enjoyed it because of the hot kissing scenes lol. It's not like I watch short dramas for the plot anyway. They just be doing anything in the drama but damn those makeout scenes and respectful manhandling.... 😭
I didn’t really like the male lead from a romantic partner’s point of view. I see it as a story about a highly capable woman taming and seducing her husband to make her marriage work and save her clan rather than a love story. The real star of the show is the female lead and the whole story is the result of her intelligence.
Overall, the drama was an entertaining watch but I couldn’t really get into the ship because I couldn’t shake off the feeling that the female lead deserved better
Your last paragraph gives an eerie prediction of the future in the worst case scenario. It also concerns me how…
Isn’t Bao’er basically a puppet emperor for now, since he’s still a child? I’m sure most of the actual work is being handled by his mother. His mother's only real support is being best friend of Marquis's wife. After all, Bao’er is still Qimin’s son. The way he was already trying to court Ning shows he definitely inherited Qimin’s traits, just in a more articulate and strategic way. That’s why I think it’s a happy ending romantically but politically it could become messy
I need a spinoff of QianQian and Qi Min meeting in present day and falling for each other, they would make a power…
I was hoping to see Qianqian return to the modern era and meet a reformed Qimin, one who isn’t haunted by his trauma. Since they changed her perspective on his ending a bit, I guess she wouldn’t mind a Qimin like that.If there were no power plays or his craziness.
What the heck is that "if" ending for Qimin? I thought he was about to give birth to a second baby himself. If the past events hadn’t happened, why would he get himself cursed
