Great movie, but also difficult to watch due to the atrocities that happened. Wish someone had warned me beforehand so here's mine. This contains senseless violence, destruction, and rape. Some of it is really hard to stomach.
Even if he wasn't underage, I'm against student/teacher relationships in general. The teacher is in a position of power and should know better. I would consider this abuse of power. Really, like the teacher can't wait until he graduates and becomes an adult? Even if he has a crush, this behavior should not be encouraged and the student should be taught better.
Now the underage part, I'm pretty sure most people would be against it. But the fact that he's in middle school on top of that and that close to puberty is pretty much pedophilia.
Whaaatt....that's insane, especially considering how revered she is in China. But yeah, if you're one of the highest paid actresses in the world, tax evasion is kind of a big deal. Regardless of whether she comes from a communist country or not, tax evasion is bad no matter what country you're from. I personally am sick of rich people trying to use loopholes to get out of paying taxes.
I found the story to be okay compared to other gambling with high stakes plots. The script was somewhat messy, but it somewhat made sense since the main character's head was a mess due to his insanity. That being said, the CGI was AMAZING, but a little too much at times.
They changed a lot of things this year. Some are refreshing and creative, some not so much. I'm not really enjoying this season as much as I did previous seasons, but then again I guess it's too early to tell.
This kind of reminds me of Dancing With the Stars where dancers are paired up with celebrities. The performances get better and better in later episodes as the celebrities improve their dance skills. It has an A+ lineup of celebrity contestants, that's for sure.
This drama would make you hate Japanese (forever I guess)...I genuinely wonder how the relationship between Korean…
Most historical dramas that depict Japanese occupation of Korea/China do. There is so much Anti-Japanese sentiment (of the army at least). In this particular drama, I got chills every time they showed the Japanese flag (with the sun rays) used by the Japanese imperial navy. Understandably, there is still some resentment from these communities that were under imperial rule, as is the case with most countries that were under imperial occupation. However, I think most people are trying to move on. Japan today is MUCH different than it was back then.
All that cuz some crazy chick wanted to repair her dead mother's outfit? If you're looking for a good plot, skip this one because it isn't worth the watch. HOWEVER, Hawick's acting was amazing and one could say he saved this drama.
