I found the story to be okay compared to other gambling with high stakes plots. The script was somewhat messy, but it somewhat made sense since the main character's head was a mess due to his insanity. That being said, the CGI was AMAZING, but a little too much at times.

They changed a lot of things this year. Some are refreshing and creative, some not so much. I'm not really enjoying this season as much as I did previous seasons, but then again I guess it's too early to tell.

This kind of reminds me of Dancing With the Stars where dancers are paired up with celebrities. The performances get better and better in later episodes as the celebrities improve their dance skills. It has an A+ lineup of celebrity contestants, that's for sure.

Episodes 3&4 is like a Joseon version of Shopping King Louie.

Most historical dramas that depict Japanese occupation of Korea/China do. There is so much Anti-Japanese sentiment (of the army at least). In this particular drama, I got chills every time they showed the Japanese flag (with the sun rays) used by the Japanese imperial navy. Understandably, there is still some resentment from these communities that were under imperial rule, as is the case with most countries that were under imperial occupation. However, I think most people are trying to move on. Japan today is MUCH different than it was back then.

Loving her in Mr. Sunshine. :D

Sealed With a Kiss was much darker than this.

All that cuz some crazy chick wanted to repair her dead mother's outfit? If you're looking for a good plot, skip this one because it isn't worth the watch. HOWEVER, Hawick's acting was amazing and one could say he saved this drama.

If this was subbed, I'd be so down to watch this. Not enough rock in dramas these days.

the struggle is real. T-T

The only flaw I can think of is that the show is still pretty heavily scripted despite being a reality show/competition. There were definitely situations where it seemed like it was planned to make things more dramatic or even out the competition for both teams. Not to mention there was some over dramatization of certain events. Needless to say, I still enjoyed this competition a lot.

I won't give away much about the teams, but I will mention something about the judges. Jackson was the best hype man. Also, William was surprisingly a good mentor and good when it came to giving his team pep talks (but I could've cared less for his dancing).

This article is fantastic! I'm a doubter and post watcher. Before watching a drama, I actually seek out negative/low rating reviews to see what people have to say. This is mainly because people who liked the drama and rave about it rarely mention the cons. I can avoid biased reviews and be mentally prepared before starting the drama. Then after watching it, I'll go back to see what reviews/thoughts I agreed with and if they were actually biased or not.

It is a remake. I think it's just that none of the English sites have mentioned it yet.

The female lead's intro scene was great. xD

As far as I know there are 6 episodes subbed so far. The original subber dropped after 5 episodes due to reuploaders/thieves, so you might have to do a google search and see what you find.

Wow, they dragged that one arc/secret for 6 episodes. I hope it's all out in the open next week. I need them to move on.

Just realized the little sister child actress was also the adorable maknae in Five Children. :D

I'm so confused. Did they reveal why Nai broke up with his ex in the first place? Was it because he was always in love with Nok? Or because the ex did something to betray him?

Interesting article. :) I definitely have a drama addiction. I occasionally get SLS and OTP syndrome. Oh and the Drama Burnout is pretty frequent too. To combat burnout, I end up watching dramas from different countries (in addition to switching genres).

Pretty sure It Started With A Kiss is also pretty high on the list of most remakes, but luckily for me, I like this storyline better.
