Ohh~ That's a great analysis. I also wondered about the creation of parallel timelines, which is possible. If Xiao Yao could change the past, the present timeline would still exist, but a new timeline with a different future would be created. Like forming a branching "multiverse" where infinite variations of history and life can exist..

I think the starting point should be 10,000 years ago, after reading both of your analyses. Only that way, there's a cause (XY and HY's first meeting and the betrayal arc) and effect (HY becoming an immortal and posing as the Demon King as a means to pay for his blood debt towards the demon tribe)...

Actually, I totally agree with your view. That's more likely, cuz when Xiao Yao travelled to a hundred years ago and 10,000 years ago, the outcome didn't change at all. So now I'm trying to deceive my brain that there might be a possibility of breaking the time loop and Xiao Yao making changes as she goes back. X'D That way both my brain and heart will hurt less lol.
Another thing I don't understand is (please hear me out.. :'3), when Xiao Yao travelled to the past, it's not like she just bent time, but possessed her past selves with present time consciousness..., right? Then where is the actual starting point? For example, Xiao Yao said the noodle dish didn't exist 10,000 years ago, but was only invented AFTER the time-travel by the present her and Hong Ye. If we go with the linear timeline theory alone.., how is that possible? Wouldn't that mean making some changes by introducing something that didn't exist before? :'D
