Totally agree with you on this. Tang Li Ci, Fang Zhou, Liu Yan, Gui Mu Dan and all other characters are not just some 'protagonists' and 'antagonists'. That's how humans are; we make mistakes, realise we're wrong, and learn from them. Even from a layman's view, we can empathize with each character and why they did what they did, and eventually forgive them for their sins... (at least for me XD)
