I only watched 10 episodes but I really like main leads! Female lead is very charismatic and male lead finally can act not another model with wooden expressions. I found myself to be a huge fan of Zhao Qian Qian since A love so beautiful. Other adaptations have very distinctive pleasant easygoing feeling. And shockingly I like secondary characters so far which are often a waste of screen time.
I guess it depends a lot on how much you enjoy watching this genre of dramas (xianxia) and to a lesser extent,…
I am glad someone understands me. Many scenes do feel stretched - I noticed few episodes with dialogues lasting 20-25 minutes. And it was mostly rehashing of the same topics they were discussing before. And everyone takes at least 10 seconds pause before saying a sentence.

I completed the drama and now I can tell for sure what bothered me the whole time - its tempo. The plot gets more interesting, acting is good, music is great but the pace how plot is developing is just not for me. I have a feeling I might enjoy animated story more. Anyway thank you everyone for feedback!
I've watched the 10 first episodes and i don't feel particularry interested in the plot and storyline...
I had similar feeling. It has very slow start and story gets more interesting somewhere before episode 20. But the general pacing of the drama is still about the same till the end.
I really love this drama and Arthur Chen. Everything from the cast, outfits, special effects, sets, fighting scenes…
I wanted to write a comment but you pretty much summarised my thoughts! One more thing I wanted to add is that it almost doesn't have a typical for Chinese dramas filler part. The plot gradually flows from one subplot to another.

Let's clarify it - I never said things are matter of taste. But maybe my comments imply that.
Now regarding good and bad. I completely agree that good and bad movies, songs etc. They well done, they have deep meanings, smart etc. Please note that I didn't start my conversation with Untamed is trash how you all can like it.
So if we take Mozart - it is a classic proven by times. To say that he can't compose is a bad education. I like and appreciate Mozart's music but it is not something I enjoy listening regularly.

That is the best response I got so far! Many just got offended by my initial post and started firing back.
I checked that Eternal Love and Ashes of Love are both categorised as xianxia - and I loved them. Maybe they are more mainstream ones.
I think, when I asked my question, I hoped to receive confirmation that many people felt it starts slow but gets better or it is more of acquired taste. As I see it has quite a cult following here.
Didn't you ask in the past? May be I am mistaken. The truth is, I find it strange when someone starts the phrase…
Not impressed maybe not good use of words. To put it simply I just don't like it - from pacing and dull dialogues to some over the top acting. Why I am still watching - I hope it is just a slow start and it will actually gets better, there is also hinted plot twist at the beginning so I want to see it. I do enjoy beautiful scenery and some actors I know from other dramas.
Now regarding my list. It is not even 1/10th of dramas I watched and yes the ones that are there do paint funny picture - big mistake to judge based on it. And I am quite generous with scores if I like the drama - you will see many 10s if I update my list.

Maybe it works for hardcode users of this site but I cannot see casual and new cdrama fans to keep their list up-to-date. To be honest I only noticed the list after people started mocking it.
The things are either 3: 1. You either went in with very high expectations to find a thick plot since start and…
1. I did went with high expectations thinking it must be an universal hit like Eternal Love or Ashes of Love. Still I don't think that expectations is the main reason for me not enjoying it much. 2. That's definitely not the case. I don't have time to watch something I don't enjoy just to prove someone wrong. I use scores to help me find next title to watch and in most cases high score means better drama. Having said that I enjoyed many dramas with average scores. 3. That is probably the case. I don't want to offend anyone here but for me the plot is dragging too slow. There are some episodes where one of two conversations is the whole episode and the dialogues are dull. I saw some comments comparing impact of this drama to Guardian - well I dropped it too. Anyway I still watch it and hope I will change my opinion.
With many of Esport/Games dramas released recently, they always get compared to Love O2O. For me nothing has been better in this genre than this classic.
Very light and positive drama! While main is story is somewhat trivial, there is no forced story twists and cliché. It feels very similar to A Love So Beautiful even without knowing about their connection.

Is it going to get better further along or is it just not my kind of drama?
