Does anyone know the production details of this show? I'm curious because I thought China was currently having a ban on all lgbtq+ themes, but this show obviously isn't a bromance. Was this a collaboration production between a few countries or how did they manage to publish the first 4 episodes on iQIY? Or did they even publish these on China's server at any point?
I'm confused and annoyed. What a waste of good actors and a nice setting (in the first two episodes). I was genuinely so excited about this drama after the first two episodes. I actually thought this might become one of my favourites from 2024 but oh boy how wrong I was. The writers clearly fucked this up a big time and no matter what the next two episodes will not be able to change this mess into a good drama. In my opinion this should have concentrated on the main characters as they grew up in a small suffocating place with an abusive parent. They should have made this story about overcoming that trauma and finding a family from someone you love. But noooooo these idiots thought everyone wanted to watch To My Star ss2 instead. I don't understand how they managed to go from one of the most interesting settings to a literal piece of garbade 'misunderstanding' and 12 year time skip which was the most unrealistic bs I've ever seen. Like sorry but be original? There is nothing original about the current setting of 'is he with someone else?' and 'why is he lying to me about the past that I wasn't a part of'? when they had a much much much more interesting setting in the beginning??!! Sorry for the rant but I'm just so annoyed just imagining what this could have been.
Did anyone else watch the ss1 recap with the most confused face ever :'D like istg I don't remember anything from the first season and changing the lead deffinitely didn't help.
I loved this until the time skip???? What the hell happened??? Why??? I have so many questions and I really don't like the character developments here. Like what the hell happened??? And honestly 12 years is ridicilous when Juyeong's actor is 24 and looks even younger.
I'm enjoying this alot tbh. I like what they did with the story and how they've adapted the characters to fit the new audience. Choi Won Young was an insanely good casting choise imo.
It feels disrespectful to even call this just a bl when this was so much more. This was beautiful and sad. In so many ways I felt like I was living Go Yeong's life together with him. That how good this was. The word I'd use to describe this drama is 'realistic' and if that word scares you, I'd recommend not watching. This drama was heavy and it definitely wasn't a 'love story'. It was a story about love and finding yourself, but in a much more complex way.
The best bl of the year just dropped omg. This is insane. 2 episodes and this is the best kbl I've ever seen. From the emotions, filming, acting and even the plot is interesting. The angst is wonderful and I genuinely feel the character's emotions. I'm in love. What the heck?
I'm surprisingly enjoying this a lot. The pacing is hella fast but I get that it's necessary if they want to keep most plot points. Sanha's mom is doing a great job at making me feel violently sick and nauseous from anger, very close to the same level as the og.
I've rewatched Go Ahead multiple times for the angst and pain only for this remake to be significantly more comedy-based. Honestly, I'm not mad. I needed something a bit more chill.
Maybe it's just me but I truly don't see or feel any chemistry between either of the couples. They're not bad actors and the story is decent altought quite slow. I just don't feel any chemistry. The romantic scenes aren't even bad. This is simply just missing that something.
Wait ... what... that was the last episode?? Talk about a boring ending my god. Are they counting on a second season because I truly do not understand the point of this drama if that was the ending ending.
What the hell. Why am I enjoying this so much?? My heart is fluttering and I'm laughing and shit. I really didn't expect to love this drama but here we are. I'm having fun.
The "slowness" of the first eps is needed, to slowly build up the eerie atmosphere and creepiness, how the ML…
No, I agree that the slow tempo initially was very much needed. But still, this was fairly slow-paced for a thriller so I understand why not everyone might like this.
I reread the whole novel 3 times while waiting for it. I have hope that when I reach thousandth time of rereading,…
Wait can you still find fan translations from somewhere? I thought all those were deleted after the official translations started. I've only read the first 4 volumes and currently waiting to order the next two and it's probably gonna take a while for them to publish all 11 volumes 😭
Binge-watched all episodes without skipping anything. This drove me insane but in a good way? Honestly I am sick with a cold and my head hurts but this drama was a nice way to fixate my entire focus on someone else's problems. I liked the performances but I do get that this might be a bit much for a lot of people. This is very slow but somehow infuriatingly captivating. Obviously not everyone's cup of tea but this fit the day I was having.

But noooooo

This is gonna be BAD. I'm already rewatching the first two episodes...
I will probably have time to read all the 11 volumes of erha before this drama is released.
