Looks like the hairstylist for the Men in this show really hated his job. Either they're too messy, too long, too gelled up. It just looks so unnatural on each one of them. I can't take the characters seriously with those 😭🫢
Okay, a little off topic, but I saw on TikTok that Justin's contract got terminated with GMMTV due to something…
He apparently ( there were screenshots) reposted some anti LGBTQ content and also some misogynistic men doing/supporting violence against women contents on tiktok. Not sure about the timeline of when he did those, but he's 15 now. He starring in a popularly known bl industry kind of goes against those belief system of his. That's the controversy as far as I know.
He has accepted his wrongdoings and posted an apology over twitter.
I'm at a certain age where I don't particularly enjoy dramas with high school setting that much, given that I picked this one up mostly because of the hype created around it. I really liked it till ep4 but then it kind of got really boring and the momentum was lost, I somewhat ran through the mid episodes and in the end really liked last 3 episodes again. ❤️
The one thing that kept me hooked was the cinematography and the bond between the boys. Reminded me of simpler times. Also really liked the countryside setting and the ppl overall. 🌊
I think this can be a great introductory BL to anyone who's trying or thinking to get into this genre. It's high school setting but neither that cringe nor that deep. I feel it can be a great comfort drama for a lot of people.🦋
JBL MLs communicating? They're pining for each other in the meantime as well? Such a breath of fresh air in Jbl of recent times. Not a single episode was boring, it went by so fast. I needed more eps . The actors did a fantastic job. They're so expressive with their emotions, facial expressions, eyes. Loved it. Definitely has a good re-watch value. 🎉👏🏼💐
This show is like bland boiled chicken. Had good substance but boring acting, predictable outcomes made it difficult to swallow. Ohh they tried salting it with that senior guy ! Bec a third wheel was definitely needed to make this palatable, but his 10/12 lines couldn't save it either.
The friend out of those 3 had some sort of better range and dynamics than these two seemingly wooden plank MLs.
The finale couldn't live upto the build-up the 7 eps made prior.
The intensity in this drama is so good, so is the tension between the MLs but the proposal scene came out so weirdly, they could have done it in that classroom scene in the beginning of the last ep to make the impact strong but everything felt rushed. They proposed, they chose their career, they cleared miscommunication, friends got to know about them, them becoming adults - everything got piled up in the last 12-15 mins .
This badly needs a season 2.
Also I'd like to forget any scenes where that tutor guy was involved. If you genuinely want to help someone to get back confidence, you don't necessarily need to make sexual advances onto them, specially when one is supposedly an ADULT, and the other is a minor suffering from inferiority complex.
This show felt like a bubblegum that had been chewed for far too long and lost all the taste.
Started out good, felt like was watching a mainstream kdrama, production is nice, acting suitable, even the pacing was also okay but the script just kept going back and forth unnecessarily. So many scenes and blabbering felt useless and the story of the MLs felt sidelined.
I also think the confession and them coming together should have come sooner, atleast in the middle of the last episode and not like the way they did it here, putting everything away for the end. The relationship they showed were only via montages.
It was predictable from the beginning and by the end of ep 8 ,it started to lose the plot, got extremely boring superfast. Not enough substance to hook into a 12 ep drama.
This show treats FirstKhao the same way The cooking crush treated OffGun. These kinda writings don't work for them anymore, they have so much substance, these lackluster scripts really dull them.
Except NC scenes, this and tide of love s2 didn't have anything else to offer.
The intention was good with this with the artistic expression for peaches and stuff but it got lost so soon that the whole storyline ( or the lack thereof) became irrelevant.
The second half of this season feels so disconnected from the former episodes. It feels like random plots were loosely sown just to make another season out of the much loved first season. I don't even remember what happened in the first episode bec that plot doesn't mean anything in the 9 th episode anymore. I'm just happy to know that it's ending.
Ticket to heaven,
The prosecutor's proposal,
Payback,
Deep In - What a crazy lot we got blessed with this year . ❤️🔥

MLs are having conversation about their feelings in a Jbl, they're communicating? That's a new thing for sure.
Also in both, the MLs mutual pining is also beautifully portrayed. Actors did a good job.
Jbls are usually slower but these are really enjoyable. The emotional quotient is really strong in both of these shows.
