I hope the makers pull a rare w move in the finale and for once make an unpredictable change so that Jira and Pheem ends up together, not koh. Even better if everyone stays single. Pheem has put up with a lot of bullshit already anyway. All 3 MLs are shady but koh is shadiest of them all, I don't find any redeemable characteristics in him neither he tries to be likeable. Jira is unstable,his emotions fluctuating like crazy, he's the most problematic of the lot just because of how highly emotional he is. The most characteristic stability though has been shown by pheem till now . He's reasonable, tries to process his emotions and needs better than those 2.
Ps- I haven't watched Dew before in any drama but I can't get him out of my mind. He in glasses and his slightly husky voice and demeanor in that audition scene with AJ was beyond beautiful. I rewatched that scene a couple times.❤️
I randomly picked this show up because it's Off gun and it gave darker vibes like not me. And I must say I'm not disappointed. I binge watched till ep 8 without fast forwarding. The storyline is very crisp and every single one of the 3 MLs are shady and has grey zones of morality. Very human. Very rare for a Thai BL. Loving everything about it. 🩶
Special mention: Off in those simple graphic white tees, the red lights reflecting on his face, red flower petals around him,all of those details made him look so attractive.And Dew in glasses is enough to kill anyone's sanity. ❤️🔥
Has all the JBL tropes in one but there's no chemistry between the two mls at all. Not even till the last episode. IMO even best friends or first and second MLs get better chemistry in other shows. This is honestly so terrible.
I don't know how to explain but it felt like nothing actually happened in the whole six eps . There was a story but the execution was so poor. Everything felt repetitive till ep 5. The finale was cramped with everything. It felt forced, rushed.
The chemistry of WinnySatang was there but not as intense as it was in We Are. I also didn't like Winny's characterization into Lava. The saving grace is Satang and the sunset shots of the sea.
That uninteresting ML had 3 guys fighting for him? ! He who has no Job, no personality, no responsibility, no decision making ability ? Man this really is an imaginary world, isn't it?
If you have nothing else to watch, re-watch something else but don't invest any time in this. There's no chemistry between the MLs. Even after halfway with 4 eps, it was unable to draw me in. The only investing factor is that this is probably the first bl with the concept of mermans, there's absolutely nothing else this show has to offer. Poon has more chemistry with Film than Hasun, and that's never gonna work in a drama setting like this. A letdown.
I have no issues with this show except for one which is surprising bec we all love MileApo. It's just that the storyline for TrinTanwa isn't as believable and flawless like KraiNarans'. Moreover I felt TrinVictor had more chemistry even in silent scenes. It was like MileApo are the MLs so they have to end up together kind and that's what bothered me bec your main protagonists are failing here. But on the flipside, everything was so gorgeous, aesthetically pleasing, beautiful sound scoring, outfits, lights.✨
How many projects Lee Long shi had done? Still the same stone face acting continues. Why are we still having these kinds of bl storyline in 2025 ? It was boring even with 2x speed. There's no cohesiveness whatsoever. Also these too much whitening and cherry red lips need to go.
Second half is better than the first half. The acting, the emotions, storyline. 💙 But it tanked with last 2 ep. Haven't read the novel but those eps didn't feel like ending eps.
• Such an unique piece from Thailand bl scene. It's as raw and fierce as it can get. The fight scenes look good. The chemistry between the MLs , beautiful. I saw a lot of comments saying it's not a proper bl, which I don't really agree with. Yes the leads don't go and smooch each other in every episode but when they do ,it's palpable, even when they just look at each other,you can sense the emotions.
• There are lots of blood, betrayal and twists in this series and all works out in it's favour. The villain(s) does look and feel like a cunning one. A proper Mafia series.
• The cinematography is also kinda different from the regular ones we see, it has this dark layered tone to it which sets the mood that there's no fluff in it.
• The MDL rating just doesn't justify the brilliance of this, shows which settle with same high school/ office romances, unnecessary comedic relievers have higher rating than this. Should have been around 8.3
• The only downside I felt was the ending. The cliffhanger didn't seem necessary and all the build-up fell flat with that rushed ending. Will there be a S2 ?
Ps. Recently I'm observing both the protagonists in thai BLS are actually consistently communicating . The (bottoms) are not just there you know. They're also given a personality to stand with. Like in TopForm, Knockout. And here also. A welcoming change indeed.
The series is so boring. Either they're outside or 5 ppl cramped in one room . The colour palette is boring ,white washed with insanely bright red lips and so are the dialogues. Looks like the money went on for outdoor shoots.🙄
I seriously tried to watch the first two episodes and then gave up on this. I returned and fast forwarded to 7 th ep and as expected the cringey actions and horrible acting can't be saved by a thrown NC scene there. 🙃
I'm tired of subpar BLs trying to save their asses by inserting a daring NC scene here and there and not work on a proper plot.😔
The storyline and timetable are really puzzling but the backdrop of this show is gorgeous. The scenic beauty that's been shown and the light works that have been done are really pretty and commendable. ❤️
