I'm up to ep 23 but am finding it a bit boring, it's dragging on. Plus it doesn't seem believable that the leads like each other, have gone through life and death experiences and are each other's main supporter yet they haven't even kissed nor consummated their marriage!? I'm going to have to drop this drama, I was watching it for the ML & hoping there would be some good chemistry between the leads.....
Just finished this drama and I have to say I really enjoyed it and would re-watch it. The leads had good chemistry, great cast, cinematography and I enjoyed the time travel and transitions between time. Story aside, wow I truly loved all of the FL's wardrobe especially in current time and Midam's CEO's wardrobe.
I started watching this drama for Xiao Zhan and truly wanted to keep watching but ended up dropping it at after ep 10. His acting and characterisation is excellent as usual. But the storyline felt a bit too slow paced and I wasn't convinced by the casting of the FL. Not sure if it was the script. I just didn't feel invested or curious to find out more.
I know that this drama is receiving a lot of negative comments about the acting, script, ending and even chemistry between the leads but I have to say I don't agree. I really enjoyed watching it and it didn't drag for me. Yes the whole drama was quite melancholy but it reflected the difficult time Doona was going through with her career, the complex feelings she still had for her manager and her new relationship with WJ etc. I thought Suzy & Se Jong's chemistry was quite good - some great kissing & emotional scenes. The OST and cinematography were so good!!! Their last scene together where WJ admitted that he should have fought for their relationship & shouldn't have let her go and apologised was so sad & painful but it was their moment of some form of closure. They still had feelings for each other, and were still hurting .... but he begged her to let him go. Which I interpreted as WJ realising he couldn't be with Doona in that moment. The ending although open ended was quite realistic - Doona belonged on the stage, she was happier, had become stronger than ever and WJ had reached his goal and career path and also seemed happier. Who knows if they will meet once again or have another chance at a romantic relationship. One thing we do know is that they will always have the time they spent together and loved each other, as an ever lasting memory.
I enjoyed this drama but I don't know if it's just me but there were a number of scenes that reminded me of the drama 'A Date with the Future', so it didn't feel quite original the story plot. The leads had good chemistry & overall it was a good watch but probably not one I would re-watch.
Ok, so I'm enjoying the drama so far and I really like Lu Si. I've seen quite a few of her dramas, BUT I can't stand her childish portrayal of a 17 year old, it's doing my head in! I'm up to ep 6 and she's about that age but acts like a 9-10 year old rather than a teenager. With her hops skips and jumps, baby talk and deer in headlights look on her face! The child actress playing Sang Zhi at 14 years old looked younger in age due to her petite build but seemed much more mature than Lu Si playing an older teenager. What's up with that!? Is that normal in China for teenagers that age or is Lu Si just over acting and not acting appropriately according to the age she is meant to be playing at this stage of the drama?
Update: I just finished watching this drama and I have to admit I loved it! Great chemistry between the leads, strong cast & acting, and it was a beautiful love story. I still stand by my previous. comment re: ZL'a portrayal of her 17 year old character but I absolutely was captivated by her acting in the crying scenes - she really knows how to cry on camera. This is definitely a must watch and even a good re-watch drama.
This variety show was really entertaining. I discovered some well known celebrities that I didn't know of before the show aired but I now know they are very famous in Korea. I enjoyed most of their performances even though their style of music isn't what I would listen to. I love Hwasa which was why I started watching the show. But it annoyed me that she didn't get as much air time as the others; including in their last performance in Seoul where she performed less songs. It was obvious that the others have a strong bond between them - maybe that's why Hwasa seemed a bit excluded at times throughout the show. I wish we had gotten to see more of her performances because she's an amazing artist who totally rocks the stage with her confidence, sexiness & swag! Re: Lee Hyori, I don't know if I'm the only one to think this but, it felt like she was trying to copy Hwasa's style. Trying to act sexier, more badass & current, including setting up an IG account & then posting often. It just seemed a bit too try hard that she was trying to stand out in each episode. Just because she was the leader doesn't mean grabbing the spotlight all the time. Sorry not a LH hater but just relaying my own opinion/impression of the show.

I haven't finished this drama yet and I'm enjoying it so far, but I have to agree with you about the lead's kissing…
It would surprise me if that was the reason but I haven't seen any of their previous dramas to compare their chemistry and kiss scenes with other actors.
Some parts of the certain rescues in the drama are not realistic. However, enjoyed the drama because of ML, William…
I haven't finished this drama yet and I'm enjoying it so far, but I have to agree with you about the lead's kissing scenes being very unnatural, kind of childish - the whole pressed tight lip thing is so off putting in full grown adults. The acting and chemistry seem really good, so I wonder if the actors just don't like each other or get along, off screen?
After reading some of the comments I didn't have high expectations of this drama but thought I'd give it a try. I dropped it after the 2nd episode - I couldn't watch any longer. Not sure if this was a low budget drama? The FL's acting was way over the top which was surprising as I' had seen her in another drama and her acting was quite good. Not sure if the actors were just victims of a bad script.
It was a fun watch and I would have loved to have seen more episodes. But it was difficult to follow as the subs weren't synced properly with the dialogue. Might be worth coming back to it at a later stage to see if someone finally syncs the subs correctly.
I want to point out that age gap has nothing to do with how believable a couple is or the chemistry ...Lots of…
I didn't mind the age gap between the lead couple. I've seen plenty of dramas where the FL or ML is older and some great ones where the chemistry was unbelievable & you can only focus on the love story & anything else isn't as important. Agree the actors just didn't gel.
Plus it doesn't seem believable that the leads like each other, have gone through life and death experiences and are each other's main supporter yet they haven't even kissed nor consummated their marriage!?
