wah omg. I wonder how they're going to wrap everything up. We're already at ep 34 but I heard there's still so…
It's a spoiler based on the books. I heard people said that there's still quite a few things that need to happen (like for example Ji Ye saving Asule from getting head chopped off is somewhere in the middle of the books and that hasn't happened yet, and i think 3 more major battles). But then again, asule dying wasn't in the books either. And they didn't show asule's life in the grassland so we didn't get to see his relationships with his 4 brothers (which i think is important when we see what happens back in the grassland later on). So probably they'll change a lot from the books. Though I have a feeling the author still wants to keep the ending or the essence of the books the same with the drama series or else it won't be the Eagle Flag series anymore. It'll be interesting how they'll wrap this up in the next 20 episodes.
Wait the thing about the ring: So in the books did Ji Ye exchanged the ring with asule and then become head of the tianqu?
Totally agree with you. His acting has improved so much from NiF2. Also from what I’ve read about him, line…
Oh yes! I actually watched the Demon Cat before I knew who he was and loved it. I thought his face looked familiar. I'm currently on nirvana in fire 2 and liking it so far but giving it a rest because there's so many things to watch. I'll def watch Detective Chinatown soon <3
In the end, JY takes up the role of the Leader of Tianqu

Which actor would you say was a miscast? I'd say Larena Song, she needs more experience in smaller role before…
I actually enjoy this kind of discussion! When I was watching those dramas, I didn't know the backgrounds of the actors and just took it for what i see haha. Shawn definitely have more experience (perhaps the whole tribes and empire lead cast) and it shows in their mature interpretations of their characters. I watched princess agents solely for shawn even though the characters in both dramas are similar. Lareina is still young i guess & this is her first drama. I do enjoy turbo's acting so far. I'm just genuinely curious because I don't know much about the chinese drama space but which young cast members do u think would better fit the lead roles?

I was thinking the same about Larena. I didn't mind that she was cute and cheeky at first. I still like her, but I did mind that when it came to the more serious scenes where she could show off the maturity and charm of her character more, she wasn't able to pull it off as well. She just made the cut in those scenes. As of right now, I think both Yu Ran and Asule are characters that doesn't do much? Not saying this in a bad way. The plot is not draggy, it's just that they are characters who haven't been able to take control of their situation in their circumstances. So u really have to rely on the actor's interpretation of the characters to feel for them or to understand where they come from. I think if Larena portrays her character in a more multifaceted light, then it'll make people like her character more. It reminds me of how I fell in love with Shawn in tribes and empire even though he didn't do much but you could tell he was a multifaceted character with potential. Most of the time, he was just wondering around, and trying to help his friends because the stupid production team ran out of money
can anyone who read the book tell me wtf happened after episode 30?! I can't stand the wait
why is asule wearing all black with his hair down after his deemed dead? Why does it look like his lost his soul? Did the evil grey haired guy gave his life for asule to live or something?!
You do know China used to drop skilled actresses due to Age and get younger less experienced that was criticized.…
I don't mind age, as long as she fits the role, it's fine. The problem sometimes with big name actresses is that they have acted in so many dramas, in similar roles that people might criticise that they're basically acting the same way as they acted in a different project. So I guess in that sense, a fresh face is better. Though Yang Mi have impressed me recently with her newer works so maybe this is not a bad choice
Totally agree with you. His acting has improved so much from NiF2. Also from what I’ve read about him, line…
agree, Guichen is kind but he is not stupid and his resolute in his decisions. There's potential in him to be a great leader. I've never seen any of haoran's works but I think I'm becoming a fan and now I'm invested in his other works lol. His voice is very nice, I wish they didn't dubbed over him in nirvana in fire
What is the purpose of Yu Ran in the story other than being a naive cute girl and a triangle between two leads?…
I'm curious if she had a bigger role to play as well. I saw in the trailer that she had wings later on and the fortune teller did call her princess in the earlier episodes. I'm assuming she's the princess of the lost winged tribe. It's already halfway the drama so I wonder if all that will have any significance later on
