Why did we need to see the whole backstory for the ex and JYZ? we KNOW their past already, and we only got a bit of our ACTUAL main couple :( and they couldn't even let them deepen their kiss at the end they just kept pecking each other which was cute until i realized this was all we were going to get of them in the epilogue dkjfghs. this really didn't add anything there's maybe like a few minutes of relevant footage
Before I saw the guilty look on her face, I was convinced that it wasn't her :( (i'm apparently very naive ...)Shame…
Yeah it sucks that she had to fuck up SO monumentally to wake up... and at Daon and Taekyung's expense. I get that vibe too - like, "if i can't have him nobody can" she'd rather see him alone/miserable than happy without her. Namgoong handled that like a champ! I would've never been able to keep my cool if I knew it was her who hurt my friends. But instead of blowing up at her he just lay on the guilt and talking about "whoever did this" forcing her to feel really bad and reflect more

There's nothing wrong with giving her the benefit of the doubt! It's too bad the show wrote her this way... :( I think Sohee was naïve thinking this would just be a little thing to get Daon back/to force him to confirm he doesn't like Taekyung - now it's all blown up and she's freaking out because she's realized being outed is SERIOUS (come on Sohee). I can't believe her she's gone too far and for what? She outed the guy she likes and invited all these rumors and potential consequences from his parents and it was all to try and regain control over him ugh. She's clinging so hard to her feelings for Daon/feeing of entitlement for Daon's heart that she didn't even see that she's hurting him. She's going to have to do some serious work to better herself going forward.
SHINWOO COMFORTING TAE AHH~ Poor Tae got his heart broken... i'm happy Shinwoo waited for him Tae shouldn't be alone, and if he went home he'd just cry by himself some more :(
I know a lot of people are worried that there's only 5/4 episodes for Tae to fall for Shinwoo and that it could…
ntm he's been growing closer to Shinwoo this whole time! they aren't starting from 0 with these last eps, these feelings have already been growing gradually. They're totally endgame.
If Daon were the endgame this conflict happening right now would be closer to the end and then he would muster up the courage to be with Taekyung, but it's happening on ep 11 and let's be real can we really accept Tae waiting for him for 5 more eps? It's too long for it to be them given the fact that the conflict + confession have all come to a head
I honestly think some people are being too harsh on TLT3, or well at least i'm having fun kfdhg I get tomb raiding and soft protective PingXie has been blessing my eyes a lot so I don't have many complaints now that i'm past the initial episodes.
It ties into TLT2 well, explaining what happened right after Fog Village and the lead up to Changbai which was totally skipped by TLT2 (and they cut out all the unnecessary stuff TLT2 did with the Changbai plot). I don't agree fully with how they decided to write Pang Zi this season, even compared to TLT2 Pang Zi with the same actor they seemed to make TLT3 him more silly and with a less reliable feel than TLT2 idk. But I do think this Wu Xie and Xiao Ge pair are cute. I definitely feel the difference between Wu Xie's, but that's the same as always between series... They're both Wu Xie, but there's definitely a bit of a difference in their vibe - like ok where TLT2 Wu Xie seems to know he's charming, this Wu Xie doesn't have that undercurrent of charm (that i think was really just Neo) but does seem to know he's cute lol. TLT2 Wu Xie was a charming scholar that could chat your ear off, and TLT3 Wu Xie is a soft boy scholar that will... also chat your ear off lol. I also like to keep in mind that this Wu Xie was only recently left for dead by someone he trusted, so he isn't going to act exactly like other Wu Xie's - he was grumpy at the start but he felt more familiar once he was allowed to be playful with Pang Zi, but even then there's an undercurrent of a guy who's trust has been shaken (and continues to be throughout the drama, poor guy). I also keep seeing people say Xiao Ge talks a lot, but honestly 20 eps in I gotta say that's not true... he's not mute, but he talks about the same as TLT2 Xiao Ge, and especially in later eps he talks less, and, well, I find he always talks more to Wu Xie anyways and that's who he's always talking the most to in TLT3 if he talks at all so idk if we can fairly call him "uncharacteristically chatty".
I think if you go in with an open mind, while also keeping in mind this is going to be the same production level as TLT2, you'll have fun.
totally agree~ i still loved the show tho v.v i hope they can act as a couple in another show with a better written…
I hope so too! I loved Shi Lei and Jin Yu Zhen and what Hank and Aaron brought to the characters! They have great chemistry and seem so comfortable together in the bts~ Here's hoping they take another project together!
So the ex was just there to help them get together? His presence is what rocked the otherwise smoothly sailing ship! He didn't need to be involved at all... we sat through almost 3 episodes of no communication and worrying from the mains because of him. His involvement is just so weird and unnecessary, like... what, he was chilling in America and was like "actually I better check and see if JYZ is still in love with me and help him move on"?? And his plan wasn't to sit JYZ and be like "Real (what is that nickname?)... you have something special here.... go for it" but to first test Shi Lei's feelings by making him jealous for 2 eps, and then aggravate JYZ by flirting with Shi Lei, all to end up in a plot developed off screen by him, Gang, and Shi Lei, to push JYZ to run around all day looking for Shi Lei and confess.
The finale served everything we were waiting for, but to do so it just went "oh all THAT shit you've been watching the past couple weeks? doesn't matter! moving on!" Went from dragging the pace to buy time to a break-neck plot resolution to fit everything they've been stalling over in the finale. There were a lot of things that just weren't explained properly or at all by the end, and not to mention they never had JYZ bring up where he first saw and fell for Shi Lei and instead said it was when he saw him after a shower (like ok that's probs when you realized you got it bad, but we saw when he first caught your eye, why was that never brought up??). I especially have zero clue why everyone from work was just standing there on the pier watching them kiss. It just felt tacky. What were they doing there?? It felt like they decided every character in the show had to gather together, whether it makes sense or not, to stand in the wings and watch the mains finally kiss and get together....
I love the mains, Aaron and Hank did a good job and their chemistry is fire, I just wish the drama appreciated them more... they deserved a better written/paced drama where they could really shine - and I hope they do another together where that can happen. I wish I could just rate this series by how much I enjoyed the mains when they were allowed to shine, because the domestic moments and care and scenes with Shi Lei's mom were wonderful! And their dynamic was great! But it doesn't feel right considering how bad this drama was constructed otherwise and how shallowly developed I found the other characters....
Sohee leaked that picture i know she did and she better watch out because i'm fuming. Just because Tae is "getting in the way" she decides to out not only him but Daon to pressure Daon into distancing himself from Taekyung??? BITCH-!!!
I get that vibe too - like, "if i can't have him nobody can" she'd rather see him alone/miserable than happy without her.
