He didn't actually lie he told her the truth: all he knew was Daon was with a teacher because that's what he was told, he didn't expect him to show up in the library. But yeah you can see he's already crushing a bit on Daon, even though him and Shinwoo are most likely the endgame

Me too! Cherry Magic was amazing it made me so happy to have that rep, I never expected it so it bowled me over! I hope i'll soon be able to fill this list with tons of other dramas/characters where it's canon...
such a fun watch! honestly watched it for Kim Jae Wook but ended up liking everybody in it! (even tho Ji Hoon's character Jin Hyuk didn't give a good first impression i even liked him by the end)
They really nailed the vibes from the anime that's for sure (from what i can remember of the anime). It doesn't have a ton of character/plot substance like... these character may not stay with you... but it was an interesting watch - i think if you liked the anime you'll like this! Side note I really liked the design for the ghosts that follow Hell Girl around it would've been cool if we saw more of them.
