I like the show and I like the Main Couple and the new side couple of Su Qi and Zhao Gang. However, I am so over…
I agree even though the rule is A Lot it's getting to a point where i'm like... if they have a problem with the rule then they should be the ones to say something to their boss - why do they keep nagging SL about it, wanting him to fix it?
Enjoyed the first ep! It has so much potential I can't wait to see where it goes! I'm already shipping Taekyung and Shinwoo~ he was clearly super embarrassed and now is like "no no stay away from meeee" and grumpy kdghs - like yes kings give me that "enemies" to lovers.
Taekyung is obviously neurodivergent which I like too! And I like how the teacher wasn't lecturing him like "and guess what I tried the beans I always avoided and they were delicious I was being silly the whole time" but was more like "I actually didn't like them but they weren't as bad as I thought either. You don't have to change who you are, but there's no harm in trying new things either" it felt very validating! There's nothing WRONG with Taekyung, but there's no harm in trying new things if he wants to either, and if he tries it and doesn't like it and keeps on as he was before then there's nothing wrong with that. It's about YOU wanting to change for you and learning new things about yourself, not you changing for others to fit in.
i can see people are worried about the kiss and i'm not saying not to be bc idk how it'll be lol but if you want some actually good queer kissing in a kdrama then you should watch the stuff put out by strongberry~ hopefully light on me will have a good kiss tho!
There really is such a stigma toward people with any kind of mental health issue, my goodness. Sorry if we "crazy"…
I totally agree, i've been shocked at the total lack of empathy i've seen extended towards Joon, his situation, and the effect it still has on him by a lot of viewers all over my socials. Also I'm so sorry to hear about your own history with parental abuse, and I'm glad you made it out of that situation!
great acting and production. classic plot showcasing how speculation/rumors take hold, which is not bad but not groundbreaking either. it was interesting to see the conflicting but similar hopes from both parents regarding their son's involvement though
Way back I used to avoid cdramas because the dubbing bothered me (I think the first one I saw a clip of forever ago had bad lip-syncing so I was like "what?? nah" [this is before i knew why they dubbed]) but once I actually started watching cdramas for real I quickly got used to it! It brings a unique dimension to the character, since you may see the actor here there and everywhere in cdrama-land, but the pairing of that actor with THAT voice may be unique to the drama, and that makes the character more... themself if that makes sense. I may watch the actor somewhere else, but unless they do their own dubbing that look and voice combo will always belong to a particular character they played and I think that's really fun!
some of the writing and acting isn't the best, and by 2021 standards it's not like WOW ofc, but I gotta say i'm still impressed by the care that went into the costuming in particular - they somehow managed to capture the CLAMP aesthetic and recreated a lot of looks I remember from the manga (imagine what they'd do nowadays with more budget!)
Ughh.... I like this drama but there is so much more potential and chemistry between Joon and Soo Hyun... and…
fr it's annoying that Joon and Soohyun are worlds more interesting but bc that'd be a gay pairing they keep pushing Sobin and Joon which is such a dry couple...
idk what to make of this it just seemed rushed, a bit shallow, and cheesy... i feel like it could've been cool but then it wasn't, there was no intensity and no bonding or anything. where was any type of character development/relationship building?? suddenly it just Was and we weren't meant to look for where they suddenly cared. idk. the donghua on the other hand DOES look interesting so i'll be looking into that, because the concept seems cool it's just the execution in this movie that was meh
