Anyone else notice that the new priest guy seemed to be drugging someone with the tea? I could have sworn I heard…
Yeah I don't think the old priest is really retiring and letting him take over the festival like he said - though is it for good or bad reasons that he's doing this? the old priest was the one allowing the sacrifices in the past but who knows about the young one's plans...
finally finished this drama. so much dumb lag in the middle (this drama did NOT need to be 31 eps it could've been much shorter and would've been better for it), and a ton of stupid actions made by people who really should be smarter considering their line of work.... I love tan jian ci and he was a great qin huai - he was the light in this drama for me - and the production in this wasn't bad at all either, but god the writing really frustrated me a lot.
some lines really are silly lol like "ransomware?" "you know your stuff" when it says ransomware right at the top of the screen they're both looking at
yeah that highkey annoyed me as well.. like let's be serious writers.
100% agree! It just feels so gross and unnecessary - and we had to watch that happen TWICE for some reason. And the writers still thought we'd be open to him giving a speech about "being seen as a villain" later like.... no. he is.

Yeah like to have him survive The Beach was annoying enough, but then he just.... kept on surviving.. and literally tried assaulting Usagi AGAIN. Absolute scumbag through and through. The writers should've had the King of Spades finish him off or made him decide to live the Borderlands (literally for what reason did he decline anyways?)
Yeah, that felt like more of a hearts game with some physical activity if anything. See if you're willing to betray…
The Jack of Spades understood the assignment and yet we didn't get to really see it... Like, in s1 the five of spades game was way more intense and interesting. The queen, as a face card, should've been better than the regular suit challenges :( And there were definitely heart game aspects that leaked in too with the way the Queen and Usagi were talking to them to convince them to stay on their side
Also the daughter is very adorable and all and sure people deserve a 2nd chance. But holy shit. I’m sorry but…
she was groomed that's why. like she's pure hearted but also she was groomed by the pedo to think that he needed her to stay by his side to be a good person because she was the only one who understood/believed in him (ugh)
he's a guy that has strong convictions and refuses to conform and that scares them. they don't want him to solve…
I see it as: she's just a little girl who was raised to be kind and not hurt others. She doesn't understand that the world of adults who taught her those things is actually more complicated so in her eyes they're going against what she was taught was good. She was also being groomed by the pedo, so that's why she was acting the way she was despite all of their warnings. I was yelling as she walked into danger because GOD that was stupid, but I understand how it happened (though... why wasn't Mashiro being watched by the mom/teachers?? how did she manage to get all the way to his apartment?? smh that was a fail on the adults part). The wife... yeah, honestly she should know what comes with being married to a police officer. He's going to seek out the truth even if the people around them don't like it! Though I do think some of her reactions are either out of fear or ignorance because she doesn't know everything that's going on. I wonder what will happen between them all as things get worse in the village.
Where can I watch more of this cute show? There are just a few episodes on Netflix and these are rather cut. According…
They air all of the segments compiled together as mega-episodes in Japan. Netflix decided to split the segments into separate episodes, that's why it says ~3h here but it's 7-15min on Netflix. I can see that they also usually have guests so they seem to have cut all of that and only kept the kids... ofc they're the main part but still it's a shame to not be able to enjoy the show in its original form. This is their official site https://www.ntv.co.jp/otsukai/ with broadcast info and where you can stream, but I don't think it works outside of Japan - Netflix, with all its trimming, is all we have as far as I know
Honestly, this is so f*cked up. I'm now at ep 3. Not gonna lie, I felt in love with that police officer and his…
he's a guy that has strong convictions and refuses to conform and that scares them. they don't want him to solve the case they want him to cower like them and quietly keep the balance that benefits them. i can't wait to see him topple it all over!
